The game on June 14th, was significant because it determined who would be champions.
If Stoke won, they would have been champions, but they hadn't played for a number of weeks, whereas United had, the pressure told and the Blades won 2-1,.....
It handed the League Title to Liverpool, the only time the League has been won in June.............until now of course, probably.
