I know people who are in the midst of violence aren't exactly thinking calmly and logically, but you really do have to be extremely stupid to be part of a gang of people kicking someone in the head.

Kicking someone in the head when they're down is obviously a pretty scummy thing to do anyway, but with 20 odd people kicking one person in the head there is a reasonable chance the person being kicked could die, resulting in all 20 people being up for a joint enterprise murder conviction, including those who just made glancing blows.

Agree. Not all of those doing the kicking will have been caught and looking at the sentences they are not much different to the 3 year banning order the Blade who was on the floor being kicked got. Cowardly act and not sufficiently punished.
