Some near us still managed to slag Monty off for tonight.

Great stuff eh?

Were people booing Tonge when he came on?

Or was the nutter near me hearing things?

I didnt hear any boo's when Tonge came on.

Indeed he was booed onto the pitch.

Although I think he's been poor, I think doing that is pathetic.

It really is steve, if anything it will make him play even worse, some of the people who go only support the club in the sense of give them money, can't believe they booed at end, i believe it was a good point.

Another thing although i disagree with him taking a striker off for a midfielder, i would like to ask the fans who chanted "you dont know what you're doing" if they were talking about the same man who brought on the player at half time who scored the goal.

Agreed alot of people know i really dislike tonge but i wouldn't boo him on to the pitch!

Although i did ask somebody why he was bringing him and then stretch on when we should have gone for the win!

I nearly got into fisticuffs about this, including with a mate of mine of over a decade's standing. Booing a player is bad enough, but when he's just coming on to the field is just farcical.

I thought he'd got that sub right because Hendrie was shocking in my opinion.

The second sub, I'm not so sure ........

Most around me were of the opinion that that he was bringing on a full back for a striker, and I'd tend to agree with them. Either way, hardly a way to attack a game when we were in the ascendancy.

I can't talk about the goal, as I was in the middle of an emergency evacuation procedure at the time.

Which brings me on to superstition tactics ........

I was disappointed that the lads were jeered off at full time following an imporved show in the second half. We were still way short of it being a good performance but at least the lads seemed to have a go in the during the second 45.

I don't particularly agree with booing and certainly not as a player comes out onto the pitch but you can hardly say it made him play worse - I thought he made a difference when he came on and played like he had something to prove!

Tongey?

Must have missed it myself cus I thought he was poor & lazy again! :)

Yeah i remember on one occasion when he got stuck in.

I disagree with booing them as they come on the pitch though, not going to help anything is it.

unfortunately the one/two occaisions isn't enough when he then stands about watching or jogging back minutes after coming on

He got stuck in a few times and wanted to be involved in play. But didn't do all that much.

It wasn't really his type of game as it was pretty much Spot the Pass for 90 minutes.
But I thought he really tried. Certainly not lazy.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying he played well, just that he did do a little bit more than he usually does.

Was it him that cracked the free kick in to the wall? Awful option if you ask me, there was no way through that wall, hoiwever there was Carney? to the left who had a clear sight of goal and nobody anywhere near him.

Tonge's strong point lately has not been his passing, nor can I think of any of his strong points over the last few seasons. Yet somehow he still gets in the side. But either way, he shouldn't be getting booed on the pitch.

3 or 4 occaisions he slowly jogged towards the attacking Watford player having only been on the pitch a few mins. Did exactly the same on Sunday.

He's a confidence player, but he certainly needs to put in a bit more effort for me. Gary Speed, at 38, still does more running than him after playing 80+ mins.

Some of our fans are like old women - no matter what is happening they're always moaning. They're also two faced - weren't like this on Sunday! Everything was wonderful on Sunday!!

Thats the nature of football though, on the way home last night i switched on 5 live to hear Leeds fans (play-off positions after a 15 point deduction) and Geordies (following the arrival of the new messiah) having a goold old whinge.

Ever considered they might be different groups of fans?

I disagree with the small majority of fans who booed at the end of the match, as we had improved in the second half, however, i believe robson made a very bad decision bringing off a striker to play his much favoured but shit formation of 4-5-1.

I'm sorry, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Firstly, if everything was wonderful on Sunday, then that invalidates your statement that they're always moaning. They can't be doing both.

Secondly, of course fans will be happy when things are going well and annoyed when they're not. Complaining about that is like moaning that people are cold when the heating's off and warm when it's on.

Sunday you got a mixture. You got a handful who were still moaning, and you got the ones who thought life was wonderful and Robson was a saint. Then you go back to last night and they're calling for his head again. Can't stand people like that, it's like being friends with someone when they're buying you a drink but slagging them off behind their back when they don't.

Welcome to the forum first and foremost.

Small and majority don't really go ;)

But yes, I think booing was slightly harsh last night, the second half performance was definately better, but still not great. But we seem to boo every time now that we don't win, so its expectant really.

This is undoubtably due to our dyer league position, at this moment in time a draw is effectively no better then a defeat; if you have the mentality that we are in a position to make a push for the play-offs.

The problem is that relegation is a much more realistic prospect and so a point is a step closer to safety.

How depressing to have to make such a statement.

I don't disagree with that at all JM.

Has it come forward that we think we are better than we actually are? After a season in the premiership, we are getting more like the fans we don't like, ie them over at s6 and elland road. They think they're better than their position suggests.

Are we to be branded in to the same category as these arrogant fans?

The plays offs are out of reach barring a miracle/sacking, so we have to come to terms with that. Re-evaluate in the summer and see where we go from there.

oh yeah robbie i meant "small minority" lol an i agree with you. Since our drop from the premiership we certainly expected more from our team considering we had just played at the top level. However looking at our overall preformances this season, it seems to be a long an hard fight to re-gain that status.
