McCabe's losing his marbles, his managers and the plot.

The sh!t we are in is down to McCabe FULL STOP
McCabe is the reason we're in the sh!t Not Adams, Carver, Speed or even Blackwell to a certain extent (although he must shoulder some of the blame)
Adams has been left with a side of poor poor players yet some of them are amongst the higest paid in the division
There is not alot you can do when the first name on the team sheet is Montgomery - that does set the tone!
McCabe deserves this sh!t Unitedites deserve better!!!

Class A Tabloid bullshit.

The sniff of two unrelated stories, one of which possibly hearsay (although probably well-informed hearsay) and the other a "shit, I've got to say something" quote from the chairman when asked about current form and our prospects. From that a "Read Me!" headline and a piece that few will remember in two weeks anyway - particularly as it's possible that he gets a win.

Our bolt is well and truly shot - chopping and changing now won't have any impact on the outcome come the end of the season. We either turn our form around and stay up or we go down. Changing the manager again will just make the latter more likely.

Disagree Fiery, We're onto our 4th manager this season and we have now chosen one of the two better options (SoD/ Adams) For me though Adams had the edge in terms of spirit of style for the here and now.

Adams has been left with a side extremely low on confidence which last season were no where near relegation and because of the changes which have gone on since December (and even August if you want to go back to then) Yes the club have made mistakes, but who'd have thought Wales would want a manager who wasn't pulling up any trees.

Through the fault of the club and through losing a 2nd manager mid season to his dream job (not the clubs fault), through then taking on a caretaker (the club had no option) and then finally selecting Micky, the club have pulled things around on that front. It just isn't working on the pitch.

If Micky does want to quite (which I doubt) then we HAVE to keep him, best option available. If Birch wants to sack Micky (which I doubt) then I too will be handing in my clappers membership card.

But just a point, do we always have to point the finger of blame?

We have shit players with no heart.. They needed replacing with better; not with journeymen> I have no idea where the goals are going to come from. everyone takes responsibility for this

'Chairman Kevin McCabe has identified the next two games against Millwall and Reading as crucial in the club's bid to beat the drop.'

You don't say? As if all the fans haven't come to the same conclusion. This is merely stating the obvious and doesn't say "You're fired if you don't win the next two games".

I cannot believe that McCabe will sack Adams now, or even if we are relegated.

However, Adams could decide to walk......

Short memory syndrome. Have you forgotten how we 'murdered' Leicester just six days ago? There wasn't a lot wrong there with the performance - just the result.

No short memory at all. Norwich and Leicester were good performances. Saturday we really couldn't afford to lose, nevermind end up getting battered.

I thought we appointed the manager who'd save us from relegation over the one who'd change our playing style and might take us down?

Never did approve of the managerial appointment and think McCabe should have stayed out of it this time but we can't sack and replace another manger now.
Yes, if Adams wanted rid of Ward he shouldn't have turned down the bid last week. He was indecisive and that will cost us but what will bringing a new manager do now and who could it be?
The best candidate (and my favourite last time) has already gone, SoD will struggle to save us this season and we've wasted more money again.

We have to stick with the manager and let him have his head. If that means losing players who aren't interested like Ward then so be it. The owner made the decision and now he has to back it up.
I don't like it, I don't want a manager who puts Williamson and Cresswell on the wings but that is what we've got and you have to give him his head.

Basically its been a right Mongolian cluster fuck from beginning to end this season.

Bob, any thoughts on Pembo as a future manager or does he just see himself as a good youth coach?

Wouldn't think he would be interested Len. I think he has his hands full with his current role, although it wouldn't surprise me if once he has everything sorted that the current board don't consider him. If they are all still in their positions by then of course ;)

Personally if I were Pembo I wouldn't go near the managers job at the moment. Shit team, players only in it for themselves, no money to spend, and high expectations from the crowd. He has a cushy number at the moment where he 100% knows what he is doing. Why put that at risk with no real long term gain?

From a personal perspective I want him to stay where he is. No matter where you stand on the academy debate i.e. young technical players for the first team or young players to sell the future of our club is linked to it one way or another. I'd rather him be in charge of that because that will safe guard our future and will shape the future of the first team. I don't want to risk that in favour of what could be a short term fix, or even worse a short term fail.

It won't shape the first team because we have proved in the past a player who has come through may get a season in the first team, then sold on if he is of any decent quality. If we'd have built a first team around up and coming talent we had brought through from an early age I could accept some of the current failings, but we let them go and replaced with very average wage robbers (with a couple of exceptions).

I said it somewhere last week, what is being coached and encouraged in the Youth team will have no place in our first team set up (all that fancy passing to your own man shite, pah) and so it can only be assumed it's a production line of "for sale" items only.

This club is fast becoming a laughing stock (as if it hasnt been one for a while). We've no money, the team cant win/score, the fans are arguing amongst themselves and there is now outrageous speculation about the fourth manager of the season leaving after seven games! You couldn't make it up.....

The mere suggestion that he might be off is ridiculous, but at the same time it wouldnt surprise me. I wouldn't rule anything out now, this season is in absolute tatters.

adams is not the problem here, its poor players, low on confidence and are trying hard to win games, despite hardly playing together regulary because of ins and outs and loan signings.
its shockin to start to even think that sacking adams is on the cards, that would do us the world of good wouldnt it?!,who else would you expect to come aboard a sinking ship?weve probably got the best manager available in our bracket who also pleases the board cos he wont be asking for money to bring in players.
lets back adams,he`s a blade who needs all the support he can get, because he`s not going to get any help from the board(in which i have lost total faith in).Chin up micky, you can do it.

Have you any idea where these better players are going to come from and how we are going to afford them? You can't simply demand that they come. They need to be paid for, transfer fees, signing on fees, and wages. Unless there's a big bargain bin of quality players that are willing to take a bit wage cut to come to Bramall Lane. And there isn't.

I know we need better players, but simply saying that doesn't actually address the problem properly. It's real football, not FIFA Nerdathon 2011.

If only life was as simple as the virtual reality dreams eh?

Your spot on and we missed the boat anyway with regards to signing anyone better than what we have.

All thats left is Rui Marquez, Jeremie Aliadiere...oh and James Scowcroft.

Very slim pickings indeed.

Yet another load of tosh purporting to be a rumour. Come on, surely people can do better than this. Sad thing is a lot of people believe it.
