Even though it's the Daily Fascist, I still read that with a glint in my eye.

Shoulders down and one more big heave........

the key line for me is the plans CW has for us - he really does intend on trying to drive us forward - long may it continue...............what could possibly go wrong ;)

UTB

Got promoted to the top flight in 1992 did we?

Must've missed that one. Modern football. History started before 1992 and the inception of the PL

On the Tevez saga...'This episode still rankles'.

Lazy fuckers. Who still bangs on about it? Nobody. We stopped giving a shit years ago.

I often think the rest of the country believe that we lynch folk who mention the name Tevez round here and burn an effigy of Upton Park at every full moon.

My back garden is dedicated to just that.

Lazy article. Year of Bassett promotion wrong and Tevez...

However if it does go well over over weekend we can start to expect many more press articles referring back to that.

Does anyone fancy posting it here for those of us who can't read the mail?

Think we’re going to have to get used to constant incorrect facts and being referred to as ‘Sheffield’.

Still it’s a small price to pay to be back in the top division ‘IF’ we get there. Part of me will miss the ex-pigs Prutton and Hinchcliffe having to tell us how good we are though.

You sir are a far more magnanimous man than I am. I'm still seething over that twat Rob Styles and his penalty for ' intent ' in the first game of that season!

Bumped into Chris Morgan a few weeks back while we were both having coffee with mates. Had an interesting conversation with him, he's working as an agent now ( boo ! ) but comes across as a decent guy.

Afterwards I was annoyed at myself for not asking him the obvious question. " Tell me Chris, did you intend to foul Steven Gerrard ? "

Life's too short for grudges like that!

Don't get me started mate. I was at Old Trafford that same season when Luton Shelton was fouled by Heinze for what was a clear penalty. That was also that arsehole Rob Styles who was waving it away before Luton hit the deck. We went down on goal difference by one goal!.

Then there was the disallowed goal at Upton Park where Geary was supposed to have fouled their keeper and none of the West Ham defenders or the keeper appealed but the ref blew anyway!

I've tried to let it go, but then someone reminds me and off I go again, the cat's gone into hiding, she can sense the rage rising

Why should you let it go. I'm still incandescent with rage and the injustice. The cheating bastards had it in for us from day 1. SHOULD we go up, we will need to be in a Europa League position last game of the season to avoid relegation .

You sound like my mate
Its all true though. You have to remember the game at OT Man Ure hadnt won the title at that stage of the season if he had awarded a penalty he would have probably had send Heinze off that would have made the game very interesting and may have harmed Man Ures title hopes

Frank Barlow’s son is the writer of the article. He’s a pig so it will have hurt to complement us in any way. I know his brother well from when I used to play football. Matt is ok but mainly writes on the PL nowadays.

Obviously some of my last post was tongue in cheek, but there's no getting away from the fact that we were cheated and there was clear favouritism shown by those in authority.

" It wouldn't be fair on the fans " a comment that still rankles with me. Someone I know attended a promotional event for his company a few years ago at Aston Villa and sat at his table during dinner was Dave Whelan. When he found out that his table companion was a Blade they got into a conversation about the Tevez affair.
Whelan told him that one of the main advocates for showing leniency to West Ham and throwing us under the bus was Dave Richards.

Any organisation that claims to be impartial would automatically exclude anyone with a vested interest one way or the other from influencing any decision. Obviously this doesn't apply to the Premier League which has no problem with bias.

If we go up a factor in our favour this time around is the introduction of VAR, plus the retirement of Rob Styles and the fact that Mike Dean is 50 so can't be going on for much longer, hopefully.

Not looked at the article, as don't want to associate with that rag.
BUT. No problems with Tevez. Still so many with West Scam. The idea of beating them at BDTBL next season is worth the season ticket price in itself.

This is a riot - he's a Pig AND he writes for the Mail? Some poor decision making there!!!!!

The article is lazy, patronising and full of stereotypical bollocks. Thank Pele the Daily Mail has never had a penny from me.

Bassett mentoring Wilder...

Oh boy that will go down well in certain quarters

He'll deny it and post some bollocks about Tuftyball and what a good footballer that Madine is.

Well if you clicked on it you are helping to support their internet readership base, so supporting their advertising income. Don't be such a pious hypocritical wanker.

Legs Of Woods brilliant overhead kick at Arsenal disallowed for a high foot...with no one near him .
