Did anyone see the Blade on The Chase yesterday? Anyone off here, I wonder? He mentioned The Beast, Mark Labbett, being a fellow Blade and when Labbett came on he said ‘Up The Blades!’ He got caught though so he was off sharpish but he also got a ‘Up The Blades’ from Bradley Walsh as he sloped away.

Saw him at the Leeds home game with his little lad, who had the purple away shirt on.

Was this the same one where they asked which was the real footballer, Stubborn Tim, Stern John or Strict Dave?
That's the one. Just remembered, the contestant was called Jonathan. Well it wasn't me so was it you JT? ;)

I Should have been blade #323. I had the audition for the show in Leeds - told I was through but never got the call to be on the show.... :(

How long did the audition take as a matter of interest? Was it just one audition? Just a few hours?

You have a phone interview first - lasts about 15-20 minutes. You have to "pass" this to get to the full audition. The audition I had was in Leeds at a hotel outside the station. You are in a group of about 10-12 people. There were multiple groups when I was there. The whole thing took about an hour and a half. You do various things - introduce yourself, play quiz games where you justify your answer etc. And then at the end, the group is split and one half is the chaser, the other the contestant and you play against each other. All of this is filmed.

It was a good laugh. Shame I didn't get on the TV, but I am far too clever and would have took their money. ;)

Surely you meant to say "taken" their money ;)

Face for radio?

I have a nice face. It's my rotund figure that would have been a problem. Wide angled cameras and wide screen tv's required.......

Not me sitters. I auditioned for the Sheffield University team for University Challenge team in about 1972, but didn't get in and have never disclosed that on here, until now.
Pfffffffft...... bloody thicko!

When I was born the midwife slapped me Dad.

My parents always knew I would be a comedian, when I was born my dad looked at me and said "is this some sort of joke?"
