Sharp scored for fun when he was with Scunny. is there such a gulf in skill levels between the the players in a lower division, or did Sharp benefit more when playing alongside Keogh? I can see him moving on and opening the floodgates once again but would love him to come good with the Blades.

Quinn scored 7 times last year, Ward twice. How was Ward our leading scorer?

17 goals (I believe) for Chesterfield..... 2 for Sheffield United = 19.
I wasn't stating the he was our leading scorer, it was a retort that if the said person came back and said that Beattie had left so couldn't be our leading scorer.

Oh, and it's true we had no 20 goal scorer when we went up, but we had 2 in double figures (Shipps, Webber) and Ifill, Jags and Kabba all got 8 or 9.

Thus showing that we had goals from all over the side, and not just a paltry one or two from various people, a good substantial amount.

Bromby got about 5 too if I remember from right back.

No one save Beattie managed more than 7 last year. If you're going to go up, someone has to score goals as a rule

I think that goes without saying

And here lies the problem, we WISH he would do well for us. So we keep thinking he may do it for us - but he just won't. He's not good enough and needs moving on to save his career.

Sharp not good enough, never has been, never will be! For the lads sake let him go and forge out a career in the lower leagues he will do well there Port Vale showed that the teams give you more time and space and the defences are not as quick = less chance to be offside
