I said exactly the same.

The irony was that aimlessly punting the ball towards the corner flag area made us look more dangerous.

If you keep punting balls into danger areas eventually something will fall.

However at times it looked atrocious and I had to laugh.

First game I have watched under wilder today and what I saw worried me.

Those Rochdale cbs won't have an easier game all season everything down there throats.

Even more worrying it was obvious it wasn't working from early on, yet we continued to persist with it.

Thr problem with aiming for Clarke is that he is not a good target man. Rarely wins the ball in the air and becomes Devon Malcolmesque when jumping. His decision making is not good IMO. Sharp is also not at 'full power'.
