Depending how hard the Walker loss has hit him, losing Morgs through injury, getting battered by a poor Watford team, will tonight push him over the edge ?

{Let's hope so is not allowed}

He has survived a run of a couple of bad results in the past, and he will do again.

If we lose at home to Derby on saturday we could be staring squarely in to the abyss

No chance. He's stubborn as a mule (I've been teaching similes to 9 year-old's today).

And if he does try, McCabe will change his mind anyway.

We're stuck with him until the end of the season. I wonder how we'd react if we played excellent football (a la Baggies) and got exactly the same results. It'd be interesting.

Lets hope it does (not so). Lets agree on one thing this is a shocking result

Is it possible to lose a dressing room you never had in the first place ?

We know he was close after Wembley but he must be feeling that it's one thing after another. You're right in that he rode out the losses before Xmas but tonight seems different to me.

He should have walked post play off final...definate signs of weakness in his make up.
Will he walk now....doubt it...unfortunately he's a well paid poodle.

'We've got seven cup finals' our illustrious leader proclaimed before the WBA game. We better fuckin concentrate on the league now then hadn't we ?

He wont walk til the end of the season and then McCabe will beg him to stay.

Can you confirm that he's never had it?

I can only go on what one player says to me ,and he would confirm it from his point of view. His appalling treatment of Cotterill was an eye opener for many of the younger players.

Some say he`s a vastly qualified & experienced coach, well kevin blackwell says that anyway.

There`s tree swinging tribe dwellers in southern borneo with more imagination & creativity in football matters than this pillock.

I can't see it but I would LOVE IT..................... LOVE IT if he did.

I would love it even more if McCabe sacked the inept fool

You see you go back a few months when some fans would still defend Blackwell ragarding fallouts when it was clearly obvious to many that his treatment of some players were out of order. There are a number of players that have clearly been frozen out of the team and even with a mounting number of injuries many were just named on the bench at best.

If we are totally inept against Derby, I can see some shoe laces being untied.

It really would be for the best all round. Our 'football' is so rudimentary, lacking even a semblance of creativity or composure. It's an embarassment.

Enough is enough. Bring in a football manager Mr. McCabe. Your experiment with semi - professional goalkeepers is surely at an end?

Wow. A defeat and you boys really come crawling out the woodwork. Waving shoes and everything.

Thats absolute Bollocks

Not been in the woodwork. If we play well i will come out and give credit and apportion praise where i think praise is due.

By the same token i think my criticism is justified tonight, i have seen the goals on Sky, i've listened to it on the radio, and spoke to a mate who has been at the match and all the evidence points to a shambolic performance.

Add that it in to the awful style of football we play, the apparantly complete lack of comprehension our manager shows regarding tactics, and feeling a bit fed up with the way things are going at the Lane at the moment, then i'm sure that we are entitled to say things are a bit wrong at the lane.

If your interested the shoes off reference was a little bit tongue in cheek, so to help you out a little bit in future i'll add a nice little smiley to let you know that it is a bit of a joke

For your information it will look something like this  or if it is something that might go a bit over your head it will look a bit like this :gallop:

Relax Brownie, your posts made sense.
It's the "well paid poodle, inept fool, pillock" name calling contingent I was referring to..

If I'm honest - I rather expected the last two results.

The defence has been ripped to shreds once again. Last time it was injuries. This time by transfers.

I'm not saying Blackwell is the answer, just that he's trying to assemble a jigsaw while someone keeps shuffling the pieces. I don't think anyone would do well managing us at the moment.

I refer you to Billy Sharps' cryptic statement last week .:bomb:

I don't like KB ... in fact I don't like anything what so ever about him but I have been tolerating him because he has been getting results.

Even though he's been getting results the way they have been gained is god damned ugly and have been got because we have HAD some quality players that have nicked the results for us .... now all the quality has gone we just have the ugly football and no one to nick us wins from it !

One thing I will say for him though is that he's on his own with no help coming from anywhere and KM is hanging him out to dry.

Are you kidding?

If you were a numpty, with a IQ of about 45, no qualifications, dropped out of school at 11 and you had landed the chief executive's job at Virgin would you quit???

A bit of pressure and you'd jack in? No way! KB is, at best a lower league manaager, and punching way above his weight. There's no way he'll quit his dream job.

He wont pack up now but he will eventually. KM has no intention of sacking him, when we fail to get into the playoffs and a majority of fans upsets him he will walk out. We will have to waste another 6 months of our history yet though.

Ive decided that I will reluctantly have to sit tight and accept the way things are until the current regime completely ruins us. Some people on here seem to be happy with that as well. Fair enough.

Probably right, but consider this.

By the end of Feb/mid-March I guarantee that Palace - 10 point deduction and all - will be above us.

If that's not proof of a team going backwards, what is?

Oh, I forgot! Blackwell is having to sell his best players & we've no money!

SO HAVE PALACE.
