That performance was one of the worst ive ever seen from united

Blackwell is a fucking wanker

Long ball long ball long ball, and its not even effective, we fail at a shit brand off football

We had spring and halford man marking players ive never heard off

Beattie spent much of the first half on the right wing

Naughton was up front for a bit in the second half

Blackwell takes naysmith off, doesn’t tell the players what to do, so the big
hole is left, they break and nearly score from it

Puts stokes on for 5 minutes, then takes him off, what shit man management, could of taken off any number of shit that was on the field

The play has no pattern, no rhythm, no purpose

Halford just isn’t doing it, give cotterill a chance ffs

Hes brought in shit players, Henderson, dyer, spring, stokes all waste of spaces

Our discipline under him is disgusting how many reds now? 5? 6?

He cant win big games, boro, Wednesday, Birmingham, Wednesday, reading, wolves, burnley,

Then to top it off, he hides away from it all and sends ellis in to do the interview

Get him out now!!!
We are going no where under him

On another note, Swansea, were everything we are not, passing, movement, good on the ball, our players are so uncomfortable with the ball when theres an opposition player within 20 yards of them its untrue, if they didn’t waste so many of the chances they created, it could have been 5 or 6

Given that you've slagged just about every player that would leave our new manager with who? Carney, Keith, Hendrie, Law ..... sounds like a top six team to me.

when have i slaged off everyone apart from those players?

and no, we are not a top 6 team

what, i should stop going because i dont sit there with my rose tinted specs on being happy with the shit that is being put infront of me?

Woah!! Hold on cowboy.

Who's said we are happy?

no you should stop going because your not happy. There's a credit crunch... save your money.

I still cant believe he's got an extended deal TBH. What ever happened to rewarding positive results with longer contracts?

I agree, it did seem a bit 'out of nowhere' to me. The club should have waited until towards the end of the season, then make a decision then.

Putting your other points aside, is...

... really necessary?

Abuse, to me, just devalues what could be a valid argument.

yes it was necessary, as he refused to do a post match interview, instead he chose to hide away like a coward, so thats why i called him what i did

The contract extension was a weird one... but if you were in Blackwell's position, wouldn't you sign it too?

RS said at the time that they thought it was linked to something with the American investors wanting to know who was going to be in charge before putting money in or something.

I can't edit my original post because I've somehow managed to block all images from the site so apologies for double post...

He had a sore throat and couldn't speak. Which is why Ellis was on the touchline with him more than usual too.

Or perhaps he was giving the team the hair-dryer treatment or didn't trust himself to not lay into to the officials? Perhaps he had some other reason not to?

If I was him, I wouldn't talk to Radio Sheffield at all, never mind after a poor performance.

It does not say much about the character of the man if he does dodge the press after a poor performance, of course it is all speculation at the moment but I would have appreciated Kevins thoughts on the game.

My advice to all those who are focusing on the poor performance / great points tally from the last 2 games should ask themselves if it felt any better following 2 very good perfrmances / very disappointing points tallys from the games against Reading and Wolves.

Sure we are not playing great stuff and winning consitently but i can't remember a time when that has ever happened. We are still in a good position going into the 2nd half of the season which is an improvement on last season at least.

Chin up, it's nearly xmas after all.

I thought the commentary team were very diplomatic towards KB during the game on Saturday.

I have read elsewhere that there was something of a bust up a couple of weeks ago.

I've heard first hand some of the vitriol they used to spread about NW behind his back... like petulant little schoolboys who think that working for the BBC means they know summat :)

Whether not talking to them is the right approach to have, I don't know. I just know that I personally wouldn't like to have anything to do with them.

Obviously was at the match on Saturday, but having heard some of the stuff on phone-ins/news reports, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Blackwell didn't particularly enjoy working with them.

I would assume that very few, if any, of the managers working today look on the media with anything other then disdain and if it were possible they would have nothing to do with them collectively.

It's part of the job unfortunately and hiding away from it does nothing to help the situation, unless you happen to be the most successful manager of recent history.

Personally i think that the time has come to do away with the post match phone in's because the reactionary garbage that comes out is both predictable and embarassing. It is the same people, week in and week out trying grab a couple of minutes of fame by saying things which provoke a reaction.

I have nothing against the presenters on football heaven and actually think that Keith Edwards is quite entertaining; it's just the muppets that call in which drag it down in my opinion.

The same could be said for forums though! :)

I'd rather see FH binned than Praise or Grumble. Back in the days when all that the SY folk had was Bob Ballard on Praise or Grumble, "reactionary garbage" was treated as reactionary garbage for an hour or so and nothing else was said on the matter for a week.

Come Tuesday evening, people seem to formulate opinions for the sake of having something to say. I dare say the Morgan / Hume business wouldn't have snowballed anywhere near as much as it did if it wasn't for FH. The fact that it's a BBC production means that the "mediators" can't do much in the way of mediating for fear of side-taking accusations and the whole thing became a battle-ground.

On FH, unless anyone swears, people don't get banned. Now, I'm all for free-speech but giving people a platform where they can hide their faces and spout off and say stuff they wouldn't say to their common man, just adds fuel to fires. And, in certain circumstances, costs people their jobs (see L&F? I'm nearly back on subject!). The good thing about forums such as this one is that people's points can be discussed thouroughly, often to a conclusion and in extreme circumstances it's mediators can step in and tell aggrovators to go biff themselves some more.
