Blackwell's comments after the Scunny game were just another example of him flapping around and saying things which i'm sure on reflection he'd rather he didn't say.

He said words to the effect that there are seven players who played yesterday who won't be with us in a few weeks but if i was one of those players I wouldn't worry too much about trying too hard and risking injury if in Blackwell's mind he's already decided that they're going.

Take the lad Connolly, I've only seen him in the home games but from what I can see he seems like a decent steady right back and a much better option on the right hand side to what Taylor & Stewart are on the left. If he's heard what Blackwell's said it must a bit of a blow for him. He's played four games on the trot after being frozen out at Derby but in a few weeks he'll be 'dreading Saturday's' again (his own words on his weekendphobia pre his loan stint here).

I would be massively in favour of Blackwell banning himself from post match interviews, or atleast till the next day as I think during the week he comes across ok, but after the games he sounds so stressed and defensive. Added to the fact that most United fans are now sick to death of hearing his voice, it seems counter productive.

If he hadn't have done a post-match interview, Blades would have been slating him for hiding.

Ellis & Speed have done quite a few PMI's lately, but notice Blackie never sends them out after a defeat.

I know they would, but to be honest they would be the same fans who would slate him for having the top button of his shirt undone or for having a hair out of place. I think it is different in the premier league but it is just a convention that managers have to make post match comments (maybe different when the games on tv). Maybe it wasn't so bad decades ago but now the mic is shoved infront of them fifteen or twenty minutes after a game and he just speaks jibberish.

Be bold, say that you talk rubbish after the game and make concise comments the day after.

I'm all for his immediate post-match interview. They prove without fail what a pratt he is - totally out of his depth and displaying total disregard for the fans.

It's not jibberish Santos though - it's calculated bullshit, if such a thing exists!

To sum up...

You and me
We used to be together
Everyday together always
I really feel
That I'm losing my best friend
I can't believe
This could be the end
It looks as though you're letting go
And if it's real
Well I don't want to know

Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts
Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts

Our memories
Well, they can be inviting
But some are altogether
Mighty frightening
As we die, both you and I
With my head in my hands
I sit and cry

Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts (no, no, no)
Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts

It's all ending
I gotta stop pretending who we are...
You and me I can see us dying...are we?

Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts (no, no, no)
Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts
Don't tell me cause it hurts!
I know what you're saying
So please stop explaining

Don't speak,
don't speak,
don't speak,
oh I know what you're thinking
And I don't need your reasons
I know you're good,
I know you're good,
I know you're real good
Oh, la la la la la la La la la la la la
Don't, Don't, uh-huh Hush, hush darlin'
Hush, hush darlin' Hush, hush
don't tell me tell me cause it hurts
Hush, hush darlin' Hush, hush darlin'
Hush, hush don't tell me tell me cause it hurts

Whatever happened to "no comment"?

Society in general seems to have developed to the point where people feel obliged to live their lives through the media. We'll be having press conferences to announce lost dogs soon.
