Man of the match for me. He's so good at plucking crosses out of the air. Brilliant save from the header. It's a good save to get a hand to it but it needed a strong hand or it would have gone in regardless. Great punch near the end through a crowd of players as well.

It's just a shame he can't kick!

Is it a shame he can’t kick? I think it’s a bit of a blessing in disguise.

I like Blackman as much as Moore so have no agenda here but is it just me who think he could have done better for their goal? Something just didn’t seem right, watch the replay a number of times

He could maybe have reacted quicker for the goal I think but he should never have had to deal with it. JOC takes the blame for that one in my opinion.

His other interventions were fantastic though. So lucky to have 2 reliable keepers vying for number 1 and Eastwood too.

And 3 points, I'm very happy.

I do like the way his first thought is to quickly roll it out to put us on the front foot. It drives us forward from the back.

The goal, for me, was a number of defensive error. O'Connell running out of defence and giving the ball away, Bash being turned too easily and Stevens (?) not even challenging for the header. I was surprised when their player headed it, as I think was he.

Iker Casillas wouldn't have saved that. It was a remarkable header

It was excellent, right in the bottom corner. BlackMan just didn’t seem to be at full stretch for it. Maybe the pace of the header wasn’t apparent in the replay.

Save was top quality, Moore might have got to that but has an annoying knack of knocking it back in play, whereas he made sure it also went well away from goal.
Plus he is miles ahead of Moore in commanding his area, both in coming out to help defenders and coming for crosses.
Kicking off the deck seems fine, and he showed very good feet first half a few times in passing it to defenders under pressure, so miles better than Moore there too for me. But agree his kicking from hand is a weakness. May sound bizarre, but with such long arms and legs he might just be unable to kick it as cleanly as a shorter more compact keeper. Bit like hitting a golf ball, the longer the club gets the harder it becomes. So these side winder low trajectory kicks are going to take some practice and perfection with his technique.

It was Fleck at the back post defending the cross for their goal wasn’t it? Good header and swerved into the corner away from Blackman.

Moore is a very good kicker of the ball but we do seem to automatically congregate in the opposing corner of the pitch awaiting it to drop.. its predictable and easily defended against even more so when they target is always Clarke.

When we play out from the back I’d like us to go to a lone striker in Sharp with Holmes and Duffy in support..

I was unsure. It looked like Fleck but I was surprised that he'd be in that position. Whoever it was it was awful defending.

Great save at an ideal height for him due to his size, not so good at getting low down when they scored maybe his size is a slight disadvantage for those kind of saves.

Perhaps why he’s a midfielder, but JOC made a right fuck up running away from the defence and losing it so Stevens had to drop in a second our shape was then al” over the place. Let someone be fair, Fleck is 5/7, that Lassogga is a big lad. All he could do was jump and try put him off, But didn’t put him off enough clearly.

Undoubtedly. I think JOC will have been told too..

For their goal, I think Lasogga just got a lot more power in the header than Blackman (or anyone) expected. His reaction was slightly slow but really it was just a very good header.

My first thought on their goal was that Blackman was a bit slow to dive. But maybe he's not 100% fit and we took a gamble?
Should never have been put in that position anyway - JOC runs a mile out of position then gives the ball away. It's then crossed to where he should have been.

Moore would have hoofed it, and to be honest I'd prefer a keeper to do that than play tippy-tappy football in the box, no matter how good it looks. Sign of the confidence of Jam though.

Not for me, total opposite. Keep the ball rather than inviting 50/50’s. We a much better side when we pass it than hoof it.

Blackman’s save in the first half was outstanding. He’s also great at coming for crosses.

His attempt for the goal however was poor. I really think he struggles to get down low quick enough.

It is great to have two good goalkeepers, been years since that has happened. I don't think Moore would have made that save so maybe his sending off last week was a blessing in disguise.

Looked very confident and its his shirt to lose now

Well done Jamal

I felt very reassured to see him back in the side. He's a good young keeper with plenty of potential and he's a real presence. Much more so than Moore. He's very good in the air. I think I prefer having him in the side, TBH.

Looks like he's walking off a bit gingerly after the game

Yeah, looks slightly sore on his right side but not too bad. I think maybe he's just feeling it a touch, rather than aggravating it. Should be fine for next week.

He had a number of winces after he kicked. Def not 100% fit. Tremendous save in the first half though.

Thought the same at the game, a little late to get down and I can’t make my mind up from the highlights. Solid otherwise.
