.... and rightly so. Didn't think it was even close to a red at the match and having now watched the replays loads of times, its never been a red card.

Typical from a man who loves getting the limelight.

Only problem is, if its rejected they'll probably extend the ban, plus I doubt they'll hear the appeal before Tuesdays match.

Killa looked distraughted and Beattie too when the red card was shown, Johnson's elbow on Naughton was far worse than Killa's red card, yet he got nothing!

Isn't a straight red card normally given a week before the suspension kicks in?

I thought if it was a direct red card it was the next domestic competitive game?

I think it used to be a bit lax and it could go a week or two until the suspension begin, until they changed the rules/appeals process a few years ago (late 90's / 2000 maybe?!).

As to whether or not the appeals process has fast tracking to ensure a match isn't missed with a player waiting for appeal I don't know.

Now I've seen the incident on TV, I'm sure it wasn't a sending off offence really, but my first view, in real time, was that it was. It was high, and studs first. It wasn't malicious (we all know that), but I've seen red cards for those sorts of challenges before.

Would I appeal? Don't really know. I'm not a manager. I'd have a long think about it though.

If John Terry can get away with his...

In my opinion the challenge looked a possible red card in real time (from my angle) but the replay shows that it is actually a harsh yellow card offence.

I would be very surprised if the appeal was successful; although the fact that the game was televised and the incident has received some national attention will probably help our cause.

Having looked back at some incidents further, I can see the refs point, I mean, imagine the damage Killa could have done to McAllisters arm!

It's not like he thought about the other player and safely aimed his studs away from his opposing number like Mr Tudgay's low and acceptable challenge....

Perhaps we should send this to the powers that be and to the referees mob if we can get an email.

Although I'm sure because the ref never noticed it will all be ok!

That is a disgrace.
