Great night for me was ruined by very nearly being knocked over by the driver of the said car speeding away from a parking spot virtually bang outside the ground immediately after the match. It looked to me like the driver was showing off to his Mrs sat alongside him in a red track suit top. Completely crazy driving down a packed street.

Other than that, had a cracking session in The Canal House and a few in Hooters.

Great performance, we started at 100% and kept it going for a long period. Kmac a joy to watch and proud of the desire on show on and off the pitch. Keep that 11 fit to the end of the season and we will take some catching/beating.

There is only one Danny Wilson.

hahaha.

About as nearly as a Jon Forte shot. Will try harder next time though ;)

This is key for me. We need a bit of luck with injuries, suspensions, trials and personal circumstances. If we keep that first 11 fit and sharp, then I think we can push on and get 2nd. K Mac coming back has given us a boost and we certainly didn't seem nervous last night. We've had a mini blip and we're still in second. There are still twists and turns and lots of palpitations to come, but I am feeling a lot better last night. That was a warning shot to the rest of the league and a message to the Pigs and Udders that we are back in business!

It’s easy to analyze now, but after the Preston game we went into a run of games where they came thick and fast. The pigs defeat came at the start of this run and at the same time, our reasonably settled side lost its spine and the back four at pretty much the same time. Cresswell and Simmo had a few games off the boil, MacDonald’s creativity could not be replaced with Quinn/ Willo/ Monty and of course Harry and Collins both missed games.

The balance of the team was suddenly wiped out and we couldn’t hold it together.

Its worrying in some ways, but just goes to show that the cover that we have needs to be adequate, not necessarily as good, but adequate to still continue with the way we have been playing.

It sounds like last night was a complete team performance and first half it sounded like we were rampant!

Well done to Wilson for bringing MacDonald off when he did. We need 3 pts against Chesterfield regardless of what Wednesday and Huddersfield do as we need to get that gap back.

macdonald makes a massive difference to this team.. have no doubt.. the general drop in confidence when he went off against Preston (even though we won) was tangible, as was the return of it yesterday

And when he went off yesterday the balance of the side was completely ruined as Williams is worse in midfield than he is at left back. We need Flynn back back on the bench as the balance would have been maintained with Quinn remaining on the left, Willo moving inside and Flynn taking his place on the right. Interesting we conceded within 5 mins of K Mac substitution and nearly all their attacks came down our LHS where we looked vunerable after the substitution.

good management though taking him off don't you think?.. we have to keep him fit

Whilst not wishing to minimise the importance of road safety, I'm surprised that the evening was ruined by the incident. I can imgaine that a comprehensive away win was depressing enough :-)

It would have been more credible if you claimed that the driver bore more than a passing resemblance to McCabe.

>It would have been more credible if you claimed that the driver bore more than a passing resemblance to McCabe
or someone off here? :D

In a Focus, your kidding aren't you? SUFC PLC would at least be seeing him flooring it in a Lambo with BT wouldn't they? And we're paying ;)

Yes as the game was all over bar the shouting I was illustrating point about the balance being badly upset with Williams being brought onto into midfied and Quinn moving to the right hence the need for Flynn as cover for the right and the centre (by virtue of Williamson covering K mac central position)

...There is only one Danny Wilson...
Funnily enough, this is what the herd of sty-dwellers we're grunting at me and the kids on Sat evening in Sheff interchange...mmmmm (:D )

But in truth, IMHO it's great to see that written here and I concur - ups and downs (which is reality in professional football), I personally think that Wilson has been a revelation for us after the disasters of Blackwell and Adams.

God bless Danny! UTB!

Hope the kebab was worth it!

I know Swiss thinks he is above the law and some kind of demon rally driver but you should know better!

I think you may be somewhat over-egging the manouver (as hard as that is to believe), which was little more than a short accelleration into a gap :). Mr plod (upholder of the law) stood in the road seemed more than happy, but then again, he did look like a clapper.

>I know Swiss thinks he is above the law
wasn't Swiss.. he has a bright red audi RS:) .. wouldn't be seen dead in a Ford

Morning Mic - If the conditions permit and the car is capable and well maintained, then yes drive within your abilities ;)

Nice one Super_pig, although I sold the RS 4 for a knock down price (an absolute bargain to for the buyer) a few weeks ago. I only have the Pajero in Cyprus now :)

But you’re right, I wouldn’t be seen dead in a Ford ;)

You choose the car Swiss , Mic will supply the hosepipe and the jubilee clip

Funny how easily your day can be spoilt by somebody driving like a Cock! In my case Oldham had already spoilt the day but it was a blade in a silver Range Rover (private plate something like J 22 UTD) who was in the words of James May a complete cock, down the inside lane on the parkway, gets to the roundabout still in the wrong lane, no indicators forces his way into a gap that wasn't there, inside lane down the slip road and then does the same thing to force his way onto the M1. If anyone knows this chump pass my best on and suggest he gets some driving lessons! Rant Over.

On another note did anyone hear the chump of a pig fan called Mark on p&g last night snorting about how they were going to be in 2nd spot by the end of the night and next year when they are in the championship and we are still in league one Harry and Ched could come and play for them! Quinny, Ched, Collins, Willo and Lowtons firmly shoved that one down his throat, Up the blades and keep the faith.

Reminds me of a jasper carrot stand up sketch where he was reading out insurance claim forms. My favourite being 'I had to swerve several times before I hit him.'

Nowt wrong with black ford focus drivers. They are the past, the present and the future. Til I can afford an Alfa anyway.
