Those that were at the Ricoh a couple of years ago witnessed the whistle blowing protest by the Cov fans that started at kick off and lasted pretty much the entire 90 minutes, interspersed by some tennis ball throwing and a pitch invasion that saw the players taken off for over 10 minutes.....(only for Billy to score the winner 2 minutes after the re-start 😂 )...

It was supposed to be a "peaceful" protest but every attack we were on the whilstles got louder and it turned a bit toxic as the Blades fans, rightly pissed off, responded with chants of "we love you SISU".....then outside the ground we ran a gauntlet of abuse trying to get back to the car park, pretty hairy stuff, especially as my 2 lads with me were younger at the time.

It appears Blues are planning a similar protest in front of the Sky cameras next Friday, suggestion is that it will be whistle blowing "for the first 10 minutes"......think we know it wont be and i would imagine it will turn pretty toxic once again with a sold out away end.

Looking forward to it......

What have they got to gripe about? They are back in Coventry and doing well in the Championship. Where do they think they should be? Challenging for the Champions League spots?

Maybe we should take our own whistles and chant "poorest Arab in world out, we want a rich chairman "

Have your lads got older as the years pass ?!

I was at the Ricoh that night. It is funny that all the noise seems to have gone away now Coventry are doing alright again. Maybe we were right to sing SISU's praises after all and all the Cov fans owe us a big apology.

Not sure where all the big Coventry hard men were at Highfield Road in 1991

Well they were there for about 20 seconds on their pitch, til a swarm of Blades ran to say hello to them on the half way line, and then the Coventry lads were last seen heading down Highfield Road at a tremendous rate of knots. Not condoning it but it was funny to see Coventrys firm look like they wanted to tear us up, right until their bluff was called and they scarpered off their own pitch when they saw what was coming. Most Blades were just pissing themselves laughing at them. Good days.
