Look at Birmingham as well. They didn't even make the play offs last year. If we are succumbing to them, then what is the height of our ambitions? There is no rhyme or reason to accept that once promoted, we will need to join the bottom of the pile.

We've seen enough in Che to suggest on his day he can take it to Premier League teams. We can see in Wilder that clearly he can forge a group that on their day, can be a frequent occurrence.

I suggest we now see this one through. And accepting Birmingham's high paid dross in exchange or grooming one of their youngsters only to hand him back to them doesn't sweeten the deal for me.

These are the names I thought about...

Michael Morrison
Stephen Gleeson
David Davis
Jacques Maghoma
Andrew Shinnie

But a quick look shows that all but Shinnie were regulars last season.

If anyone thinks any of their first teamers would even consider us, they're kidding themselves.

Wolves are the ones I'd be interested in a part exchange from - Nathan Byrne mainly, but also Lee Evans and possibly Jed Wallace.

David Cotterill will have suitors higher up the footballing pyramid than Birmingham, so we can forget about him being part of any exchange.

Gleeson or Shinnie it would have to be for me.

Gleeson would make a good partner for Fleck.

Shinnie would be excellent in a 4-2-3-1 formation as the central player of the 3.

Whatever they offered for Ché we should send a snapchat of Wilder and Ché having a reight laugh at such a low offer (a la Bury).

As for make weight players I'm not keen, it's like saying to them you're not good enough for us so go play for them. They'll hardly be motivated.

Peter Ndlovu was a makeweight player in one of the best transfer deals we ever did.

Wolves want him too so if Birmingham don't match the 2m. Looks like Wolves will sign him since their takeover will be completed soon

Jed Wallace is a good call – we already have a shirt for him.

The Wolves are now supposedly interested in Adams.Wait for the Wolves to come in with their new money.

Forget this partial bid with a player thrown in on loan who doesn't really want to be there.

Unless they want to take some of the dross from last season that Wilder can't get rid of.

Hold out for a bidding war.

Cash plus coady please

That read very much like, "We can't afford the full fee, so I wonder if we can palm off some right shit on our books to make up the difference? Let's have a quick look at the shit we have which we'd be happy never to see in a Blues kit again..."

Hopefully they can be delivered a clear message to fuck right off to the end of the road.
It's like us offering a low 5 figure sum for Clarke plus Woolford and freeman

I was surprised at this story at 1st with Birmingham because after the carson young debacle I thought they were still broke.

I think our best shot is Newcastle as they lile overpaying for players at the moment & I think we could squeeze 5m out of them or maybe even 4/4.5m + Armstrong who banging them in for Coventry last season & we couldn't grumble as they are bigger than us 50,000 fans every week probably double/triple his wages

Absolutely no chance of them paying that alone, never mind with Armstrong as well

Or...........we could keep him

As I was saying they along with a few clubs are overpaying at the moment. Newcastle spent 10m on Dwight Gayle & Look at Roofe to leeds for 3m

True but always good to have a contingency plan

Our best bets for a big fee for Adams are Newcastle, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Probably still a maximum of around £3m though, no chance of £5m.

No ...... sorry mate, won't happen ........ when a Club from a higher Division comes in for one of your players you have no choice but to sell ...... our Board told us that ages ago !

Just ask Gillingham & Walsall ....

UTB & FTP

Dwight Gayle was playing in the PL last season.

What bids have they refused and who for?

Was hardly a regular started 8 (8 of bench) & scored 3 goals. Hardly worth £10m
That seems to be the going rate for a top Championship striker these days. How much did Rhodes go to boro for? I think it was around that. Andre Gray? Crazy.

Very true but just because its the going rate. Doesn't make it right. K saw Burnley wanted 15m for Micheal keane from Leicester. A bloke nowhere the England team

But what does it matter? The clubs have got the money. It's not really on my list of concerns tbh. It's not like house prices which affect everyone.
IMO, it's neither 'right' nor 'wrong', it's just how it is.
