I did use the quotation marks for a reason, it still is on paper the easiest of the three

I said before the game that it wasn't going to be an easy game and this one was a hard one to call.

Don't think that its completely over yet, but we've just made things really tough for ourselves.

Finishing the season without the play offs has lots of benefits

Get that holiday booked lads. You look like you would be prefer to be anywhere other than a football pitch.

Last couple of away games against teams fighting to stay up and we’ve been crap and given soft goals away.

Teams who get into the shake up don’t do this.

All the results going for us but we can’t do our own job.

Only Chris knows why he had to play one up front and three flat midfielders.

Why the hell he didn’t give Brooks 60 mins from the start or Sharp alongside Donaldson nobody knows.

A point is no fooking good anyway!

Fact is we're losing to a team that are barely in the fucking league in the 'easiest' fixture of our remaining games, but no we're not allowed to complain because of how great we did earlier on in the year

Complain all you like. But when people exaggerate bollocks, it winds others up!

Limp end to the season and a pretty important summer coming up.
Need for some genuine quality instead of more of the same/squad players as we did in January is obvious.
Also need a bit more steel and belief to see out games or rescue them. Don't think we've scored a single late winner this season but let in plenty at the other end.

Probably about 10th best in league. ;)

I’d say that for the past couple of months we have looked considerably worse than 10th best in the league and this is the worst Championship season that I think I’ve ever seen quality wise.

Could be much, much harder next year? ;)

20 mins, we turned up. After that, we were shocking. Nobody looked interested. Don't think we had a chance for the remaining hour.

Piss poor performance, awful defending yet again for both goals. Nothing up top.... Fuck me what a way to throw the season away these last two months have been. We must have thrown at least 10 points away.

They seem to have run out of steam. Oh well, at least no play-offs to endure.

Watching us play like this makes me wonder how we got all those points from early on in the season. None of the team seemed fucking arsed, bullied around by relegation fodder when we are on the brink of a play off finish.

Disappointing end to a great season, shame the players don’t reciprocate the fans passion.

Coutts reckons so in his interview with Biggs the other day.

Yes, I think the league will be stronger next year and it will probably be harder. This season turned into such an amazing opportunity and it’s just so disappointing how we’ve thrown it away.

Far too many points dropped from winning positions, too many big games where the players just haven’t turned up.

The league position is still far better than I expected but that doesn’t really help the frustration that we have wasted an amazing opportunity.

Shit end to the season and the board in dispute with each other.

The typical Blades Way bollocks has returned to Bramall Lane.

The quicker we know where we are for certain the quicker the big deal gets done. ;)

Humm... that’s what some said they would be satisfied with when we didn’t strengthen in January, could have, and should have seen United in the playoffs, well done those upstairs!

We have resorted to England's 'pass it along the back' philosophy of meaningless possession.

Very negative starting 11 from Wilder yet again, is he trying to make a statement.

Opposition must love it when they see all those defensive players on the team sheet and nowt up top.

Ultimately a disappointing end to a promising season but at least we were in it up until now. Our early season form probably flattered us a bit & the last couple of months have shown we are some way short of the top teams in this division. A team with our aspirations shouldn't be losing to teams at the bottom but that is exactly what has happened, I think inexperience at this level & the pressure success brings have really cost us, but the majority of us would have accepted our final standing before the season started. Overall this has been a really good season for us & a solid platform to build on unless our boardroom shenanigans & fear of spending get in the way.
No point in being angry about the loss of Coutts, or team selection & formations, we have come up a bit short is all, but we have a better starting point for next year than we have had in a long time, I think we can & will do a lot better next season.

We’re simply not as good as Chrissy thinks we are. We’ve had plenty of opportunities this season to cement our place in the top six and failed on every occasion.
To sum it all up, we’ve come up short because of the injury to one player, and the failure of his teammates to replicate what he did for the team.

The one consolation is nobody in this team will be keeping Couttsy on the bench next season.

The players clearly couldn't be arsed today after the first 20 minutes!!.
I just don't know what has been going through the players mindset?.
I don't know whether they've just run out of steam or what??.
Wilder will be aware of what's going on and will surely have plans to deal with it?. The squad needs bolstering with better players but they cost money??.,
It's all down to the board!!. No worries there then!!!!!!!!. UTB

Our main problem since xmas has been failing to win the games we should have won. I don't mean should have because they're below us, I mean should have because we have 20 chances to the oppos 1 and fail to win.

On the flip side, when we're crap, we lose every time without any fight at all.
