...as I sit here nursing a glass of vino I note newsnight has us down as second only to the Geordies in the binge drinking stakes...bit daft I suppose but quite a few facts and figures linked to your club..life expectancy etc...

...bizarrely...though we are down as drinking far more than our Porcine neighbours they are massively more obese than we...make of it what you will...

Not surprised to see the Porkers as obese. Shows that stereotypes have their origin in reality

i have to say that the match day experience for myself and my companions does tend to include lengthy pre and post match drinking sessions, so we probably fit in to the binge drinking category, and several into the obese category too!!
so the arrogants must have some right fat barstewards!!

i thought that wembley was like most away matches, particularly in london, in terms of drinking, but with more excitement and tension.
the regular away day fans are either doing the same or are used to seeing it, perhaps it came as a shock to the not so regular travellers!

When Blackwell was manager I found I needed at least 6 pints before each game, so I could argue with myself on a Sunday morning that the game had been entertaining!

Whilst interesting, I would'nt read too much into this as the samples are based on people living within a certain distance from the ground, not fans from th particular club. I suspect some of the findings are flawed , for example, there seems to be big discrepancies between Notts County and Forest, and their grounds are virtually next to each other .

I'm sure the football season is a lot to do with my summer weight/winter weight.

But if you read the study, it takes into account "catchment areas". United's takes in a great deal of student accommodation which probably explains a lot.

Nowt to do with us, chaps. As you were.

They've obviously never read our 'fat bar stewards getting fit' thread :)

You fat bastards...you fat bastards...you fat bastards.... away at Gillingham next season

Such an abstemious bunch those happy hammers,...... what a pile of cock this report is.
