Bollocks. The sensible money goes on a Boxster (or Cayman). Porsche thrills (and usability) and a lot less money than a Carrera.
Not a Porsche fan, I wouldn't have a Boxster if it was offered to me for free, I'd rather have an MX5 or a Mercedes SL.

When i worked with Billys brother, it was red i think he had it recoloured at Leeds though.

Apparently these cars sell at between £64K and £132K

Which one has he got? Whichever one it is, a world in which a 3rd division footballer buys cars like that is a world that is mad.

I used to take the piss out of Mini Coopers as back in the day when a few of my mates got pro contracts as various local clubs that seemed to be the 3rd Division footballer's car of choice to start out with. A few of the more experienced pro's might have had an A6 or 5 series etc. Now a bloody first year pro drives a Merc/BMW/Audi and the older lads have a Range Rover/Cayenne for the Mrs and an M3/C63/Porsche Carrera for themselves. All the time supporters pay more and more to watch! Mental

I like the look of the Astra, it's just a shame it's a Vauxhall.

The Coxster is more exclusive because everyone is too embarrased to buy one ;)
If you feel anyone should be embarrassed about having a car, you've got problems.

She may well be. It's a food pub but I can't believe it would support that kind of motor, although there may be some extras not on the menu :) I might have got it wrong, it might have been SUE 69. It's just the same, but, er, the other way round. I seem to recall she used to drive a Vauxhall Astra....

SUE 69 is on a Dacia Sandero Stepway....
The plate is worth infinitely more than the vehicle
Perhaps Sue has less income these days? ;)

It never ceases to amaze me that people will fork out £100k+ on a car and then put a cheap / tacky version of a customised number plate on it rather than shelling out an extra couple of grand for the real thing, which they could keep forever!

Spending anything than the bare minimum on a car is a foreign country to me and why anyone would prefer one set of letters and numbers rather than another and be prepared to pay through the nose for their preferred combination strikes me as utter lunacy.

Anyone who buys any of these cars is a complete TWAT whos just buying them for the name. Either way the Porsches are ugly as sin, atleast the Aston has changed the shape of the car to make it work as the small car rather than just squashed a vanquish down to 4 foot long. infact this is my gripe, Porsch havent gone out and thought lets make a wicked estate car theyve just got there standard shape pulled it out rounded off the back and cut a couple of extra doors in it and gone, there you go Porsch Estate.
it's a Porsche four door actually... not an estate
can't see the problem.. even i could afford one of these.. not like it is a Ferrari is it??
i rather like them but unfortunately they aren't made in Stuttgart which puts their real pedigree into question IMO

4 door saloon or estate, its a stupid half n half car thats got a stupid long round arse, for the money there are much better sports cars and much better sallon cars that have been made to do a certain job not half of one and half the other while not excelling at either and looking crap

while not excelling at either

It's a sensational "saloon" car...with a hatchback
Have you had a look at the performance figures for the mid range v8?
It goes like a stabbed rat

I've considered a second hand one(they're becoming better value now), however, I occasionally require to seat three people in the rear and this is a four-seater maximum
