Is there a blades misspelled XI? Kilgannon and McGuire at the back, Lundstrum just in front, with Sharpe and Clark up top.

"Billy Sharp could he end up at Middlesbrough in January . Out of contract end of the season."

Fingers crossed

I don't think Colin Wilder will sign Bobby Sharpe.

Middelsbrugh have better targets like Sandy Burger, Lis Mouse and Olly MacPubteam

I know it's an attempt at a bite I will play along. He is 35 turning 36 in Feb , if he "isn't good enough" for us why would he go to Middlesbrough who are in a very similar place to us. Option for Sharp would be either to retire end of this season or drop down a couple of leagues for a season if the money and travel made sense. Although he would be dropping from approx £11,000 per week (plus add ons) to £2500ish in League 2 (based on highest paid player at Harrogate Town) .

If the budget is there I would personally like him to sign a player coaching contract with us for 2022/23 he could play in the cup games if needed if we needed to concentrate on the league whilst coaching the U23s forwards alongside Hecky and team.

This is like Wednesday in the 1970's promoting Derek Dooley - the guy who drew the winning numbers in their Pool promotion at half time to team manager.

If he wants to continue playing professional football he'll have offers, but he may need to drop down to the 4th tier or national league. Scunthorpe would be a good shout.

Didn't listen to the interview last night, so I'm not sure what he wants to do. If there is a non-playing role for him at the Lane in the future, I'd be happy to have him around.

Actually thought he did well as a pundit last night

All depends on what he wants to do.

Playing wise he needs to find a club L1 or lower now.

Coaching wise sure, if we need/have room for him. I feel that one day he will return in some capacity as a coach. Or manager.

Doesn't have to be yet unless we think it's genuinely worthwhile. Can't just have him here for the sake of it.

I'd be happy if he came back to work in the canteen. Realistically he probably has another season as a player somewhere. Even if it was, say Scunthorpe or Halifax he'd still be on a better wage than helping with fitness/ coaching at the Lane. If he has a chance to carry on playing and still has the desire he should go for it.

I reckon a year at Rotherham and a promotion campaign to end on.

Back where it all begin before he even joined us…
