If only Billy was 10 years younger at near on 36 he does all the stuff Brewster should be doing, he runs into space Rhian stands next to the CB, Billy gets into a space to receive the ball and uses his body to stay there or draw the foul Rhian doesn't, Billy scores goals Rhian doesn't. Today we were back to the static Rhian Brewster who gives every CB an easy game he really needs to look at what Billy Sharp does without the ball the CB never gets a rest with Billy.

I don't get all the hate for Ollie McBurnie he was the only guy to work their keeper before Sharp came on I thought he had a decent game.

McB is a fraud. He ends up on his arse after every challenge. Defenders must love it as he is bossed every game and spends his time waving his arms at the ref asking for non existent fouls. Utter dross.

With respect- crossing from deep is not going to trouble a Championship defence. Either get in behind or pass through them. I cannot remember the last time we got to the goal line a put a ball back across the area or when we passed it through from the edge of the box. Lumping it from 30 yards is not a threat.

Been around a long time, he was the same earlier in his career at United. Praise the good players rather than just idly slagging those that don’t hit it

We were hoping Brewster could be a younger version but he seems to have the knack of being in the wrong place all the time.
He’s not a poacher, in fact I’m not sure what he is.

Let’s not forget Billy had a very slow start at United because he wasn’t being deployed as he should have been - ie. being a ruthless poacher.

Yes I know Brewster and McBurnie haven’t scored anywhere near as many as they should have but there is potential in both of them.

Whether we will see it develop remains to be seen.

Not sure about 10 years ago but he certainly wouldn't have got in their side from '86 to '92.

We know Billy is not the answer but we are looking for someone to take his place who can be relied on to trouble their goalie . We want a replacement for him because at 36 we can not expect him to get us out of the shit every week.. We have three strikers who can not hit a bears arse with a banjo and another who we might see for 5 hours a season if we are lucky. Get rid of them all and buy 2 decent ones who might bag more than 1 a season. Must be the worst strike force in our history . Don't blame the mid field Billy seems to trouble defences with the same bloody service.

I still think McBurnie can add something to this side and is someone to keep trying with. Just his presence sometimes makes a difference, and that showed in the goal we scored - we won the header from the long ball.
Brewster though...I just don't know. It seems like his only ability is absolutely twatting it at a million miles an hour straight at the keeper or just wide. I've watched his Swansea goals a few times and he just doesn't even look like the same player. Scored some nice goals with good movement, technique, finishing for them, some real striker craft. Not sure where it's gone or what it is about the way we play that means it's just totally absent right now.

He is up there. It is even more special considering we have got rid of him twice.

The fact after 6 years we still look to him for goals is a sign of how little we improved our strikeforce.

Brewster has had too much smoke blown up his arse at age group football. Get the impression he thought it would be stroll when he signed for us. Massively out of his depth and could be the best finisher in the world, but if he isn't willing to do the graft outside the box he ll just drift down the leagues.

I hope after Woodburn and now Brewster we've learned our lesson. It stands to reason, anyone coming out of Anfield is bound to have a swollen perception of how good they are. Sadly they appear to lack the hunger needed to succeed at clubs at our level. Oh, and if there ever is a next time, put a bleeding sell-back clause in.....the cheeky bar stewards
