Still the only man in our squad who has won us any points this season.

Doesn’t have the price tag.

Isn’t a Wilder signing.

God forbid he was ever to show these young upstarts how it’s done 😉.

Will this stop the rumours that he wasn't in the squad because he had 'downed tools' after a falling out with the management?
Or is this just an elaborate cover story?

He deliberately injured himself so he didn't have to play. :D

Would be good if he recovers well enough to play a part next season. He could play a key role in ensuring some continuity in a transition. If the new management has a totally different culture, Sharp will be well placed to explain the fans’ mentality (always assuming he hasn’t taken too seriously comments from some). Whatever players/system are in place next season, total commitment needs to be shown from minute 1, and the crowd will get behind them.

I sincerely hope he will be back for us next season. Personally, I think he should have had more game time at the start of this season. Apart from the physical attributes there’s other things to consider on field like his leadership and we’ve missed out on that.

Or maybe it’s me and like with many things these days, maybe the captains armband is just a nice fashion accessory and we all have to be everybody’s friends in the workplace.

Foe example, one thing that puzzles me is all these comments about Lundstram being lazy, disinterested etc, yet I’ve never seen a Blades player giving him any stick. They all seem to want to go through the motions in a collective daze. Can you imagine a player not pulling his weight being ignored by the likes of Dave McKay, Jack Charlton, Ron Harris, Vinny Jones, Tommy Smith, Graham Souness?

Vinnie Jones? In that list?

Another name that springs to mind in that context is Roy Keane. If anyone wasn't pulling their weight in a side in which he featured Keane wouldn't have waited until they were off field before

billy could still have a big part to play next season obviously from the bench and with team spirit on the training ground probably his final season as well he deserves all the plaudits he will get fantastic servant for the club and hopefully a packed lane for his final game when it happens

“Obviously from the bench” would imply at least 2 or 3 in front in the pecking order
?

As things stand, and with reinforcements up top a much lower priority one would have to assume, I’m going with obviously not the case !!
