Billy Sharp run

I always said once he got his first there'd be no stopping it... I was beginning to regret what I had said a few weeks ago - but now I stand by it!!!

Billy will score in every game from now till the end of the season as we finish 6th. He will score a hatrick in the play-off final too.

;)

All that's left for him to do is bang one in against Wednesday, glad he scored, i'll shut about thinking he was shit :) lol

He looks a lot more confident now in front of goal anyway. Hope he carries on scoring.

Just need the rest of the team to stick a few in as well to get the goal difference looking a little more attractive :)

Aye, that would be icing on the cake. He's done well to find his scoring boots, it's about bloody time! The crowd have been really patient with him, probably because he's one of our own. Any other striker would've been getting some serious grief.

You and half of Sheffield maybe? I think everyone knows without doubt he can score given half a chance, it was just that all importnant first he needed to get.

Long may it continue :)

It was like Blackwell was saying earlier... it isn't necessarily a change that Sharp has had to make, just a change in the way the ball was being played to him, with more support coming down the flanks.

He seems to have developed quite a good understanding with Beattie as well and it'd be interesting to see what could happen if he was given the nod instead of Hulse.

I think Blackwell helped his confidence too... the comment "£2million.... to be honest, i'd have paid £4mill" will have helped him get the swagger back... Also noticed Blackie talking to him a lot, along with Beats.

Lets hope it continues, we know he can do it lower down and you don't score that many goals at any level without knowing where the net is!

I was surprised to see him score it today to be honst, didn't look like anything was gunna come for us after Speed put a lovely dint in the post

I said all along that Sharp wasn't getting balls played to him in the right poisitions etc.

Luckily, Blackwell has realised this and we are now playing to our assets, rather than trying to be something else.

Well if I'm honest, I was saying I was surprised he wasn't taken off for Beattie earlier in the half. He just wasn't getting the ball to the areas he needed it throughout the game and Beattie and Hulse up front together would've given us a bit of height in the scrappy conditions.

If Mr Sharp would like to continue proving me wrong, I have no qualms with that :D

Of course:p

I said Cotterill was crap at the Norwich game and he proved me wrong that game. Although i didn't reckon much to him today. He reminds me of Webber in many ways.

Anyway, back on to Sharp. I can see him getting 10 before the end of the season.

He better do, I had a bet at the beginning of the season he would score ten goals for us, although we did agree to include any cup goals he scored aswell. Haha, that pint will be mine :)

You have just reminded me then mentioning a bet.

I had a ten pound bet with a Dingle friend of mine that we would finish above them this season. Looking promising so far:D

Fantastic stuff, the goals are banging in now, just as many of us predicted as soon as he finally made that breakthrough. Let's hope it continues. :)

As said.....he enjoyed.........

He looks like he's trying to eat snowflakes...

he was stood there with that pose about 5 mins in front of camera,

Oh i nearly forgot.

On the bus on the way home earlier, some young Barnsley were saying that Sharp is fat, hahaha. I then said that maybe they should buy a 'fat' striker to score for them then.

Whilst I did see him purchasing chocolate on thurs and he does like to puff his chest out a lot.... he's very far from fat :) Bit like Paddy really, seen his waist these days!?

The style he had to play certainly didn't suit him in the early season, he seemed to be wandering about anywhere, but Blackys play seems to suit him.

A brilliant goal from sharp, good play from speed too!

I never thought I would sing "we've got Billy Sharp" - but I did. Was well happy:D
