Went out for a few beers down town last night with my brother who was visiting. Saw James Beattie in Vodka Rev bar and asked for a piccy. Heard a few things about the messiah being a bit up himself. I have to say, what a great bloke. Invited us to sit down and had a chat about stuff for about an hour, bought us a pint and was in good spirits. Looked very very fit and lean and joked hes starting Saturday.

I was talking to him about when he played for Everton and when he scored their second goal from the spot in the prem against us. He had no idea what I was talking about! I had to check myself on google this morning to make sure I didnt imagine it.

Anyway, made our night and was a real pleasure to share a drink with, Cheers James, all the best.

He's a good fella, was popular in the dressing room last time around and importantly a match winner. If we end up in the playoffs, Beatts is the guy you want stepping up to take a penno in the 92nd minute.
