Biggest Threat To Blades?

It seems Blades fans believe Charlton Athletic will be the team to watch out for in the 2007/08 Championship season.

The latest poll had fans voting on who they believe will be United's biggest threat in their bid to bounce straight back to the Premiership?

It seems Unitedites feel newly relegated Charlton, who took 34% of the votes, are their main rivals.

The Addicks, who have £16.5M in the bank after selling Darren Bent, will also be hoping for a swift return to the top flight.

Second place, with 27% of the votes, went to 'other', proving a number of fans obviously didn't agree with my choices of clubs I thought would do well this season!

Third place went to West Brom, who took 11% of the votes cast.

The baggies missed out on promotion via the Play-offs last season after losing to Derby in the final 1-0.

The Midlands club have also lost Koumas and Kamara in the off-season but are still a strong candidate for promotion this season.

Id probably agree it is Charlton who we have to watch out for next season.

Charlton and West Brom are the ones i'd have said. but theres always a suprise package.

still think we can get automatic though. UTB

Charlton, WBA, Wolves, Southampton, Preston, Leicester etc.

The championship is one of those horrible leagues where everyone is close together, the difference between coming top and twelth is often not that much, and there is always 1. a 'shitty' team that does well (see Colchester), and 2. a 'big' team that does shit (erm, Forest, Leeds, Sheff Weds, Man Citeh. Take your pick).

You lot have got to be amonst the favourites for automatic promotion, but I remember thinking when West Ham went down in 2003 "fuck it, we'll enjoy a year spanking shitty clubs like Rotherham then we'll be back in the Prem before you can say 'Glenn Roeder, world's best manager' "

Doesn't work that way.

I think the Pigs may come do reasonably well next season, especially if they keep up the form from towards the end of last season. Gulp. Its gunna be a tight league next season.

I think they massively over-achieved last year and, if anything, they have gone backwards since.

Charlton, Wolves leicester

and Watford -their sytle of play seems to work against us.. ie hoof it up the field and see what happens

are ones we need to watch

We did the double on them :D

But yes, I do agree, in other meetings we generally do struggle.
