Well done Plymouth!

Respect from Sheffield!

:)

ARGYLE will remember Derek Dooley before Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship clash with Sheffield United.

Former United chairman Dooley, a highly-respected footballing figure throughout his life, died this week, aged 78.

The Pilgrims will stage a minute's applause for Dooley, who also played for and managed Sheffield Wednesday, prior to kick-off this weekend.

Argyle chief executive Michael Dunford said: "Out of respect to our opponents, and to acknowledge Derek's lifelong contribution to football, there will be a minute's applause before Saturday's game.

"Paul Sturrock, who knew Derek during his time in Sheffield, has requested that our fans join the visiting Sheffield United supporters in showing their appreciation of a true footballing man."

Both sets of players will also wear black armbands during the game.

A modicum of decency from one of the smaller clubs. Can't say I'm surprised, but well done to Plymouth! Confirmed my high opinions of The Pilgrims!

rather have 3 points as a mark of respect :D

you see there is still some semblance of honour in Football, well done to Plymouth.
