Something doesn't add up to me......so we owe Santander £15-18 million covered by the Tevez money PLUS £20 million to McCabe?? Offset that against our year in the Premier League, 2 years of parachute payments and player sales (Kyles, Jags etc), TV money....

Where has all that dosh gone? surely not on player wages????

I don't think we know we owe McCabe £20M. it seems like a best guess, though it was in that region before the latest release.

I think it's Birch's job to step up to the plate now and he was told exactly that the other night.

Some are complaining elsewhere that the "minutes" are a watered down version. We didn't take our own notes so we can't compare but the stuff he was saying on the night made sense and I think the sense of some of that was lost in trying to put the gist into words by the people who wrote them up. That's why when Foxy and I have covered Q&As, we prefer the word-for-word approach so no one can accuse us of spinning anything.

The point was made to him though was that he had to be seen to be the one saying things for them to have the maximum impact and he held his hands up to that. So we will see. You may hear from Birch himself who will clarify the issues to all.
