Anybody else notice loads of people who post very infrequently suddenly being quite vocal with their opinions on Wilder and our current state of affairs in general? Nobody knows the facts and details behind what has gone off. We all have our opinions of course, but by and large they are backed up by the square root of sweet fuck all. Pigs are loving this. This is the best thing to happen to their club in pigs years. WUMs in general love to stir it and get a reaction. Shysters just love a good moan and have a victim and 'why me' mentality.

I accept that Wilder has made some fuck ups - not least in aspects of recruiting and bizarre (to us laymen at least) team selections and tactics. However, all I would say is look where we were in May 2016 and look where we are now. We still have parachute payments to fall back so unless we have a McCabe/Robson scenario (non existent god forbid - I'm still having fuckin therapy for that time) any half decent manager worth his salt should have a decent shout of giving it go next season.

Some people on this board have been vocal and critical of Wilder since covid - I get that. They have put well reasoned points across and it's difficult to argue with what they say. However, as I said, I chose to look back over 5 years, not 9 months.

Social media is fuckin horrible, it gives all parasites the opportunity to stir shit and piss themselves behind the anonymity of their keyboard. It's going to be a bumpy ride Bladesmen/women. Buckle up those seat belts and prepare! 😬

For me its not being able to work out how most of the fanbase is feeling. I know how my mates are feeling. I know how I'd expect fans to be feeling if this was another club. But to me if a neutral fan came on here the takeaway they'd get would be a lot of them were sick of Wilder and think he's got mardy and walked away. Which is so sad.

Listening to tufty club made me feel a bit better. I do struggle to get my head around long time blades who just shrug and aren't too bothered because they've seen it all before. This is a big one in terms of eras ending. Probably won't ever be as good again. The only thing that matters for me is like was said on tufty club, I expected us to have Wilder next year and have a go getting back. We may have come up short and he may have gone anyway after that. But the ride was going to carry on for another season with fans back. Now realistically we've got no chance. If its a clear out and new manager its a coin toss between being ok and really struggling next season. I think we were safer than a coin toss with Wilder.

But then what I've seen from twitter its universal devastation and anger/sadness. That's what I expected on here. Maybe this forum is just a bit more toxic than twitter which is a nice thought haha.

You seem not to understand the point.
It‘s not about criticising/ slagging off the club.....that’s an opinion and is fine.

The issue is those posters that went into hiding when we’re promoted and doing well last season.
They‘ve never praise the players or the club when doing well......but when ever we‘re in turmoil they come out of the woodwork.

If you check their post history they’ve never posted anything even semi positive....no details of memories going to Blades matches.
No memories or opinions of former players you would expect them to have knowledge about.
They make it very clear they hate the club, promote negativity wanting it to fail.

The pattern is usually “I’ve been a season ticket holder for 30years and I’m not going again”, “i’d advise everyone to support a non league team instead a’
but you look at their history and they joined this site 6 years ago and have made 50 posts in total.
The last time they were regulars on this forum was when the club was in turmoil when Clough was sacked.....it’s not coincedence.
 
I thought Wilder should have gone before the January transfer window. Then when that passed, I thought he should have stayed and been given at least the first half of next season to try and get us back up. The timing of his leaving has been bad. What I have noticed, though, is a lot of his more vociferous fans coming across like Trump supporters and really throwing the toys out of the pram. Grown men and women talking about crying and having a go at fellow Blades. It’s so petulant and just not right. “I haven’t got my way so I’m leaving”. Maybe this attitude mirrors that of Mr. W himself.

It’s sad that a great era for OUR club has come to an end in the way it has, but rather than having a pop at the owner and trying to hound him out, and abusing each other while we’re at it, how about we give the board a chance and see who we get in, so we can see, with some hindsight if this is the right thing for the club. Our current trajectory was very much a downward one, so something needed to change. Time will tell if this was the right thing.

I share your pain and reasoning. My guess as to why this site hasn’t reflected the reality of how the great majority of Blades fans feel is an orchestrated effort by some to present a pro Prince - anti Wilder agenda.

I say that being fully respectful of the small minority of real Blades (less than 10% based on a poll on here) who thought Wilder’s time was up. It’s their right to hold and voice their alternate view. There are other posters who seem to spend an extraordinary amount of time and effort peddling a particular agenda. It doesn’t feel authentic and erodes trust in the integrity of the ‘conversation’.

To be honest I'm not all that bothered with Wednesdayites who are on the wind up. They aren't as many as people think and if they stick around they get outed eventually and then inevitably get banned. Some people are daft for falling for the wind ups sometimes, but I don't care what Wednesdayites think so I don't care what they post on here - though I think it's a bit odd that anyone would take the time to troll another club's forum.

What I think has really spoilt this place recently are the huge number of people who have signed up since we reached the Premier League or who have been signed up a while but only started posting since we've joined the Premier League but have nothing good to say about the club, the players, the manager, achievements recent or past. What's the point? I don't doubt that SUFC is the club they follow more than any other, but how is that "support"? What do they get out of it? If you can't bring yourself to say something about the fantastic times we've had recently then I really doubt you've been a fan pre-Wilder.
It's like a family that never says anything nice about your girlfriend for the years you were happily together but can't wait to say nasty things about her the moment you hit hard times and then gloat when she's gone. Who needs a family like that?

Good to know. Fairly new here so sort of assumed this board would represent the fans feelings quite well but from the threads that doesn't seem to be the case. But then I have noticed these polls and it's normally a huge percentage agree with what I'd expect our fans to be feeling so that's comforting.

Long time Blade myself, seen this club stepping on the garden rake a good few times. It's not just expected, seems like obligatory.
Doesn't make it any easier and I'm heartbroken.
Yes we've been garbage this year, we don't know what has gone is going or will go on/off. But losing Wilder is no bueno.

There have been posters on here and BM in the past that have admitted they go on Pork Talk “undercover”. There are pigs who, I believe, have been on Pork Talk claiming they go on Blades boards undercover (I refuse to read it but it’s what I’ve been told) so it’s pretty clear that some of the posters you refer to really are pigs. It shouldn’t be a huge surprise when people suspect posters who’ve done nothing but slate the club, or start odd rumours etc as being Wednesday fans on the wind up. (A few have worked this out and will occasionally say something nice about us).

I get that there are some Blades who are really pissed off right now and are just lashing out at everything and everybody but it’s pretty clear there are also some infiltrators. The biggest problem right now is that we’ve all got too much time on our hands, it’s been a shit year compounded by shit performances from the one thing to distract us from all the other crap going off. Football should have been our escape from the misery but instead it’s just piled it on, for both sides of the divide.

Well lets have a guess. 5000 points + £25 spend at Sainsburys. So lets say £25m would get you a reasonable prem midfielder, so I dunno, something like 50m nectar points
 
I have on the odd gone on their board I've never signed up fuck that I've just gone on to see if they ever post stuff about us,and I've seen posts on here before that states they do post loads about us but you have to be a member,from what I've seen they don't post much because I'm not a member but they did have a mega thread about wilder leaving which as got over 500 comments and 27+ pages,and quite a lot of their normal fans if you can call them that are saying how can we call blades obsessed when a post about wilder leaving as more comments and views than every thread about Darren Moore being appointed,we are rivals and sometimes it's nice to tek the piss,I'd certainly never sign up for porktalk though
