The whole team had more idea and purpose when Chud went off. The guy is garbage. Cresswell started winning more flick on's when he knew somebody (Camara) would be making runs off him and the attacking element to our game suddenly started to look like we had some plan and pattern of play.

Will Blackwell have the balls to ditch Chudward? Sadly, i think not.

Forest were woeful, incredibly bad and I admit that was a major surprise to me. I think we have a chance of making a decent attempt at top 6 based on tonight but I aint sure how Forest are third or anywhere near top 6. I've seen them 3 times and they have been excellent so not sure what happened. Best answer is that we played well for most part but I think they wanted 0-0 and it was pretty comfortable for them other than Ward's header and that Camara/Quinn chance.

No doubt at all for me that Camara looks a million times livelier than Evans who can't be faulted for effort in my opinion but lacks the pace to get beyond a defender. He had nowt to feed off but I think we should have had a penalty in first half for a blatant pull on Ched.

Why the short corner to Monty in 4th minute of injury time? Ridiculous.

Excellently put. Camara seemed to have that little bit of extra awareness just to move a yard and did make a difference.

Forest were appalling, but neither side exactly sparkled.

I didn't think Ched had a good game tonight, in fact he was poor but then again I thought we looked poor as a team throughout. Ched looked lost for most of it with only a couple of touches frustratingly showing what he can do.
I don't understand why we play Harper and then completely by-pass the midfield.
We certainly looked better when a little bit of pace was added but it would be nice if we actually tried to play with some pace down the flanks and get the balls in from there.

Still loving that fact that Len still doesn't mention Walker who actually played worse again than even Ched (that's saying something tonight) and gave the ball away again in stupid areas on multiple occasions leaving himself out of position.

Playing with 10 men, I thought it was closer to 7 tonight. Morgan, Killa, Monty, Bunn could say they put in a decent shift IMHO. The rest were average to poor.

All that said we were better than Forest for most of the game and really should of taken the 3 points and I thought the ref also had a shocker. Easily the worst set of officials I've seen at the Lane this season.

Can't say I'm happy with the Blades at the minute, don't like the manager, don't like the formation, don't like the style of play but I still think we haven't seen a good side at the Lane this season. We could still easily make the playoffs without hitting anything like "good form".

Nice try Flatulent but Walker worse than Evans? No, don't think so.
Walker wasn't at his best but once again a real strength going forward.
The fact Forest scored zero suggests the defence overall performed well and I'm struggling to recall a single chance they created (despite Walker's 'horror show').
No, the problems were higher up the pitch but that improved once we got the worst ever big money United buy out of the way.
Lord knows how we're going to get rid but hopefully we can offload on loan in January to free up some wages at least.
And well played Quinny tonight, good stuff. That lad has ability however hard he tries to disguise it sometimes.

Better than what? The first half was as tedious as any I've seen for an age (I didn't see the Ipswich or Donny games) and, as stated elsewhere, the second only livened up in the period between Camara coming on and Quinn going off (I suppose taking him off during his best spell of the season has some reasoning behind it but was buggered if I could work it out).

No width (why not try Little for the last 15 when they are tired and his lack of pace won't be noticed), no midfield passing and an away team who were quite happy to soak up the long punts and keep everything in front of them.
Two decent crosses from Walker in the second half were the extent of our efforts to get in behind them.

Poor effort, must do better. Forest and Davies are a horrible club and manager who deserve each other.

Must have seen a different game,Bob.I thought Taylor and Quinn on the left played very well.Some on here seem reluctant to praise Quinn as he is the current whipping boy but last night he passed and tackled excellantly and linked well with Taylor. If Golden Boy Ward had played like that,people on here would be giving him god like status.

Cresswell worked his nads off as well without much luck.Surprised Little didn't come on for the woeful Ward as we needed some quality down that side.

Agree the quality wasn't there at times but there appeared only one team looking to win the game.

Walker is still doing exactly what we highlighted weeks ago, and on at least 4-5 occasions he gave the ball away leaving us out of position and in trouble. Are you really saying that because Forest were too shite to take advantage there is no problem?
You do make me smile when your egotistical crusade to be always proven right (despite past evidence to the contrary) means you can't even admit when your golden boy has a poor match, or the limitations in his game.
I think with Ched if we move him on we will see (as with Sharp) him simply get goals elsewhere and do the usual moaning about why he never did it for us.

For me if Puppet is right and Walkers going back in January with Naughton coming that would be quite a result.

I'd agree but only if Blackie goes to a 4-3-3 formation. There simply is no logic to play 4-4-2 without any width and two wide players who only want to come inside. A midfield of Monty, Willo, and Haper and a front three of Henderson, Ward and Evans/Camara would make more sense, however it simply isn't going to happen.
We looked better yesterday after the changes because 1.) Ched didn't play well and 2.) Camara actually injected some pace which we lacked throughout the team. Personally I'd still rather have pace outwide (dropping Quinn) rather than play the pedestrian football that we currently are doing.

Has anyone seen the Evans penalty claim again on TV? It looked like a good shout from the South Stand but as I've already mentioned the Ref and linesman were shite throughout.

However, this was still better than most on the ball. A few runs down the wing in the first half that went awry when he fed the ball to Ward who simply lobbed it away and a couple of decent crosses in the 2nd when he decided to ignore the Ward option.

Killa was outstanding and even managed to have the best chance of the match, in open play at that, by getting forward.

One thing that puzzles me is how we lump it long all game and then in injury time we take short corners and free kicks on the half way line.

You are playing with figures, which is easy anyone can use it to back up their argument. In the previous 10 games before last night we had conceded 19 goals nearly 2 a match in the same period we scored 15 (12 via our forwards). Lies, damn lies and statistics.
But don't tell me that we are looking in the wrong area when we look at the defence. The problem has been that the defence has been shipping goals, we haven't defended consistently well since before the derby. I still think our problem is our lack of pace and width in midfield for the formation we play. We need to change our wingers or change our formation.
