Taking off our prejudices and having seen everybody, we are now watching the start of the business end of the season.

So what order would you put teams in - not the order you think they’ll finish but the order that you think they deserve.

For me

Wolves
Fulham
Cardiff
Villa
Boro
Blades
Derby
Bristol C
Brentford
Preston/ Millwall

Pretty much the same for me. Wolves & Fulham are the top 2 for me but I fancy us to beat Boro, Villa & Cardiff on our day.

Boro' above us? Are you off your head? FFS I smell pork etc
But I'm looking forward to the rematch, let's be fair piggies put the fear into us, if we'd attacked this league with no fear we'd have ripped boro and brentford a new one early doors. Only wolves, fulham, cardiff, maybe villa have bettered us and then only if they turn up which wolves seem to be neglecting recently.

Seen little in Boro that deserves putting them above us.

Just been watching Boro annihilate Weeds. Traore was unplayable - we don’t have anybody like him - Brooksy after 3 years on steroids! Bamford alongside and a Pulis defence.

We lack the power runners that Cardiff and Boro have, and we don’t have ballers through the team like Wolves and Fulham. I would say that Villa are not much beyond us, more professional but less committed.

I'd put us and Brentford above Villa and Boro tbh. Otherwise more or less agreed.

This is about reight, but swap Boro and Derby. And Fulham aren't that good. Probably 3rd or 4th.

You’d have Derby above us? We’ve been the better team against them twice

We’re the best in terms of team spirit, outperforming expectations. We haven’t invested millions ala Fulham, Wolves, Derby over the years, but we’re pushing for the playoffs with a team of “pub players”. Genuinely expected us to be struggling. But I’m delighted we smashed Wednesday and we’ve played some genuinely thrilling football at times. We’ve got some promising new players who need some time to gell. We’ve had a little blip but it’s great to be out of league one and pushing things forward. UTFB.

Agree 100%. However where we end up is where we are at. Playoffs look very even, with not one stand out team. Fulham Reading Weds Huddersfield last season was similar. Anyone can get through as the underdog Huddersfield found out

When we played Boro they were not that special, but effective, they did what they had to. Derby also never looked that good in either game.

However, Villa are proving that over the season, quality shines through, although they are definitely beatable.

Can't really see beyond a top 4 of this:

Wolves
Fulham
Cardiff
Villa

That said, i think the last two places will be hard fought between Blades, Boro, Brentford, Derby. I'd be surprised if Bristol C, Leeds and Preston keep with it.

Given that we still have to play Cardiff, Fulham, Boro, Brentford, Preston and Bristol City, we will have to be on top of our game!

Think PNE and Brizzle will keep with but just miss out. Same with Brentford.Leeds will be nowhere near. To be honest having been on all the other forums they all seem to think we will be the ones who won’t keep with, which was surprising. A few even backing PNE for sixth.

I can understand why people think we will drop away, but hopefully we have arrested our slide now.

OK but is it fair to judge them on that? but Leeds have been playing like a struggling League 1 recently...

Just me that thinks Millwall are the team having the late run for the play offs?
They have an easy run in (if we ignore the 'there are no easy games adage') and then for the final 4 games it's in their hands as they meet United, Fulham, Middlesborough and Villa.

If they all tuned into the KCOM Stadium last week then I'm not surprised.

1. Wolves
2. Cardiff
3. Aston Villa
4. Fulham
5. Derby
6. Blades

Fuck me. When will people learn never to doubt Warnock?

Correct. Cardiff may not be the easiest on the eye but the chances of Warnock letting this one slip are zero.

Only one adjustment to your prediction and that's for United to finish 5th (in line with my pre-season prediction).

best team doesnt always go up

qpr didnt deserve it
neither did west ham

derby blew it after looking untouchable

its such a lottery

I think we’ve already let it slip looking at our run-in. The run we went on where we lost to all of the lower half sides just killed it, we needed to be putting those sides to bed. I have a feeling Fulham will tonk us tomorrow night and I can see us struggling to get anything away at Ipswich, Brentford or Bristol and we still have Cardiff to come to us.

Think we’ll end up around 8-10th. Still a big achievement for our first year back and I like that we tried to impose ourselves in the right way in most games we’ve played.

I think Wolves will go up as deserved Champions, with Cardiff (the Warnock factor) joining them. Fulham in third, Villa in 4th and I’ve a feeling Middlesbrough will put a run together for 5th, with Derby just about doing enough to join them. Play-offs are then a lottery, but I think Villa have more big-game players so would probably be most likely to go up from that bunch.

Pretty much how I see it though I think Derby from these play-off contenders.

We have "let it slip" despite sixth being in our hands, and having to play only 3 of the current Top 8? Granted Wolves and Fulham look a level above everyone else on their day and Villa do have match winners. But even the most pessimistic Blade can't tell me Derby, Bristol and Boro are any better than us? We don't need to win all our remaining games to get in the play offs we're not going for the league like last year. Winning our home games and drawing away would more than likely see us in there. Believe!!! UTB
