Morgan won the dream no.5 slot by a landslide and Higginbotham "won" the nightmare no 4 shirt by not much less. The nightmare no. 5 spot was taken by Kozzy with one (probably joke) vote narrowly beating Maguire's 2 (possibly genuine) votes.

So our 2 sides are now:

Dream

1. Paddy Kenny
2. Matt Lowton
3. Wayne Quinn
4. Nick Montgomery
5. Chris Morgan

Nightmare

1. Steve Simonsen
2. Daryl Westlake
3. Gary Flitcroft
4. Danny Higginbotham
5. Rob Kozluk

Time for the no.6. I think we all know how this will turn out, but there may be some who think Beattie's 22 goal 07-08 season worth a vote.... We will see.

Players played under other numbers are follows:

Page: no 32 01-02

Jagielka: no 40 2000, no 21 01-02, no 17 02-04

Beattie: no. 9 08-09

Kilgallon no 16 07-08

Nosworthy no 3 10-11

Hill: no 32 2012

On this one, the designated nightmare candidates are Hunt, Nosworthy and Ertl. Anyone voting for them won't have their votes counted unless they post a reasonable justification in the body of the thread. In fact anyone not voting for Jags or Beattie has some explaining to do...

Off you go.

has to be jags.

wore other shirts but no.6 is the one I remember him in. I think he wears the same no for England and Everton?
top player and not a bad keeper either!

Jags, by a country mile. The others are nowhere near the same quality.

Incidentally, since squad numbers now have less bearing on the position of the player, isn't comparing Jags and Beattie, to lick a recent example, rather like comparing a ladies' pair of spiffy shoes to a sturdy pair of hiking boots? Both are the same kind of thing, but for totally different uses.

I loved Beattie first time round but it's a no contest. Has to be Jags

Got to be Jonathan Hunt ............................... for the nightmare squad

Somebody actually voted for Kilgallon? Gutted.

I got down as far as Rob Page and thought "he was great", then, unfortunately for him, I saw the two names beneath. I went for Beattie. The shining light post-relegation.

Bit more competitive this one, at least for second best. Jags will still win by a landslide though.

I've a feeling this one could closer than people think.

Lots of Pokemon fans coming in with late votes for Johnny Squirtle.
