Best League to be in

Interesting reading. In many areas of modern life, promotion to the 'next rung up' is very much seen as a thing to aspire to. I once knew a copper who didn't want the hassle of 'rank' and was happy just being a constable. To be honest, even if your club is doing OK, the Prem doesn't seem to be much 'fun'. Maybe it's me that's got it wrong?

The Premier League is fun is you are competing (like we did when we finished 9th and other seasons where we’ve run it close) but crap when you surrender as a club like we did last season. If you bounce up and down a few times you can build a platform to compete. This is what I hope the Americans do if we get there.

Crazy that Wednesday can actually be relegated still, it would take a catastrophic set of results, they would have to lose every game, Cardiff and derby win every game, hull win every game bar the derby one they would have lost, and the others would need a couple of wins and draws etc, but with the fixtures it is actually possible as bar derby v hull none of the others below play each other to take points from each other

The fun part is the novelty - visiting new grounds or grounds you’ve not visited for years and hoping for a big result or two. But even when you’re doing well, that wears off quickly when the games get moved around to Sunday or Monday… there will be a few clubs fans enjoying their time this season, Newcastle, Villa, Forest. But beyond that perhaps Liverpool fans, Arsenal for the Champs League. The rest will be the same, imagine being a Man U, spurs or Man city fan… must be awful for them after being decent previously

Always preferred championship for its Tuesday 19:45 and Saturday 15:00 kick off times, but that’s gone now.

I was a bit skeptical about this because there are so many teams below Wednesday who have to play each other, so I've run the numbers and I'm happy to confirm that this is still a possible final table:
