Tottenham in the semi finals really enjoyed today. A passionate game some good performances from the youngsters. Souttar man of the match for me, a giant at the back.
Thought we controlled the game but were sloppy twice.

Some great minutes in the tank for a lot of players, as you say, Souttar was very good, looked very assured and unruffled at the back. Just what we need.

Shame that Seriki tweaked his groin as he was absolutely destroying them down the right. Between him and Gilchrist we will have a real mix and a change of pace. Gilchrist is calm and solid. Seriki is a game changer

Brewster, as I’ve mentioned on his thread was very lively, dropped deeper to play some neat touches, started some decent moves with good vision and was there on the end of moves as well. Didn’t get his goal but deserved one. Building himself and his confidence up nicely.

Coulibaly and Grbic had mixed games, both looked rusty, Coulibaly gave the ball away too much for my liking.

Mentions for Hampson, Slimane, Boye’s, Marsh and One all getting some time on the pitch.

Stand out for me though and Skys MoM was Peck. Some of the balls he played were excellent. Seemed to be everywhere in the middle. Short passes, long defence splitting passes, having a crack from distance. Put some tasty challenges in, didn’t shy away from that physical side of the game. Slight build but holds his own as he proved at the end as Wrexham trying to wrestle the ball back after they scored. He wasn’t having any of it, was right in the middle of the goal mouth melee and was giving plenty back.

On tonight’s performance Peck stands out as the one banging in Wilders door to get some game time in the league games.

Plenty of decent minutes, professional performance and blueprint from Preston followed up tonight with some tidy football. Very enjoyable

Souttar looked like someone's Dad had joined in to make up numbers at the park. They tried wrestling him at that corner and it did no good whatsoever.

Coulibaly I thought was really poor. An awful lot of loose passes and poor touches.

Grbic had little to do and still looked dodgy. Two decent saves but otherwise let's just say I was happy to see Cooper in the stands...

Slimane was meh. Some good moments, won the penalty, but I was hoping he'd make a real impact like Peck did (who was the obvious MotM).

Felt awful for Seriki because the twenty minutes he played were phenomenal. Didn't look they could even get close enough to foul him when he had the ball.

Gilchrist had one poor moment where he got caught flat-footed, otherwise solid.

Anyone else I haven't mentioned had a good game. Rak-Sakyi and Cooper in the stands must mean they're set to be announced, and I'm hoping putting Hamer on the pitch was a nod to the fans that he's staying. At the very least, press saying he's in Ipswich for a medical today had some bad info.

Agree with most of what you say, but I thought in second half Slimane looked class. First time I've seen him and thought there was a player there.

Maybe I was just too busy raving about Peck to notice him at that point? I've been quietly hoping Slimane would be one to make an impact a level lower. He's never looked particularly bad, but I'm not entirely sure what he is still.

Gilchrist was caught ball watching twice and the same player should have scored on each occasion which would have been a hatrick for him , and that's against league 1 reserves , so to say he is calm and solid is a big statement, ampadu used to get absolutely hammered for doing the same thing against premier League players

Overall calm and solid. Was watching players for their overall performances rather than individual errors or mistakes.

Oh fair enough then however if the kid scores then both I think you would have made a different post , last season that would have been 2 conceded from his errors but the step down saves him

He was dispossessed in our half 4 times in the first half. To add to this he passed straight to their player in our half.

Second half at least he was more anonymous till he sliced a "clearance" barely off the ground and again straight to their player in our box.

At times he looked like he'd never played football in his life.

Marks for enthusiasm, he was over the moon when we got the penalty.

There must be a player in there somewhere as we keep persisting with him, and he wasn't subbed, but that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen.

Felt more like we let him have a run out just so we could rest others. He's only got half a dozen appearances to his name and Wilder hasn't been shy about throwing in Brooks and Arblaster ahead of him, and on Friday he gave minutes to Peck and Seriki instead of him. I think that shows how far he is down the pecking order.

I don't disagree with your assessment, just doesn't seem like a player worth wasting too much time on. Hope he goes on to make a career for himself but I very much doubt it'll be here.
