Best League Cup 1st Round game

I'm going to the game, but I'm not anticipating a classic. Have we ever been involved in an exciting 1st round match? They are all a bit of a blur.

The first 2 rounds used to be over 2 legs. Not sure whether it was 1st or second round when we beat Newcastle 3 - 0 at The Lane then went to theirs and clung on with a 2 nil loss? Both those were exciting.

Similar games were had against Blackpool when we were in a higher division but on the receiving end. Lost 3 nowt in the first leg (Dave Bamber tore us a new one) but then battered them in the second leg. Sure it finished 2 nil too so we just missed out.

Though again, it was 2 legs but could have been round 2.

1st round was against Hartlepool over two legs. Agana and Duffield scored in extra time to see us through
