I was gonna mention this one - not seen many headers with spin on the ball. Right behind it as it curled into the bottom right hand corner.Morgan vs Crystal Palace in the 2006 promotion party.
To me it just looked like an action replay of McGuiness's header in the Stoke game.I'm still thinking about Bindon's TOWERING header from the weekend - bloody love a headed goal me.
Now I'm not saying its the best header we've ever scored, but bloody hell he got up high, and the flight path into the net was bloomin' satisfying too!
I have no doubt there are loads better, but what is your favourite header we've scored?
John Francis, 93rd minute winning header to beat Brighton 5-4
I was only 11 at the time so my memory maybe a little hazy, but I recall Tony Kenworthy scoring a fantastic bullet header against Peterborough in the 4-0 win, at the kop end last home game in May 1982. My memory of it is that he was just inside the penalty area when he headed it, however there's no footage so I could be wrong.

the shoreham was heaving that day was the fullest i had seen it since the early 70s
Indeed it did, which begs the question of how much practice in training have the players had blocking defenders, to allow the space for free headers from the big lads.To me it just looked like an action replay of McGuiness's header in the Stoke game.
Similar to Sander Berge.Flo was 6ft 4in tall and had the heading reach of someone 5ft 4in![]()
Exactly this. Jones was at least 30ft in the air, or so it seemed to my 8 year old self was directly behind the goal. Also Gil Reece diving header in the 7-0 victory over Ipswich in 1971...as an oldie has to be mick jones bullit header from woody's corner at the kop end against man utd boxing day 1966 nearly broke the back of the net to the dismay of about 10k man utd fans who were on the shoreham that day lol
Egan also tackled a liverpool player with his head on the floor tooJohn Egan heading Wily Boly and the ball into the back of the Wolves net during the Covid season.
The winning goal?Is that the goal where he and Deane exchanged passes on the halfway line, John St side and Deane crossed for Hodges?
No coincidence that we’re better since Hamer’s back taking themDiving headers will always be the best headers, Was it Bobby Davison or Whitehouse away v Pigs?
But also agree, Bindon got some proper height on his jump. It was almost a carbon copy of McGuinness v Stoke. We seem very good in the air at corners this season under Wilder
Both goals against Everton in the FA Cup 1970 at Bramall Lane. Both in the second half at the Bramall Lane end.A beautiful cross from Alan Woodward, A diving Header from Addison, another great Woodward cross, a reght Header from Gil Reece, to make it 2-0.one of the best Fa Cup games I had the pleasure of watching.
We’ve actually got good defenders that head the ball properly. Last season and for years it’s been too much about wrestling until ref stops play. We’ve had too many players like McBurnie and Souttar that got involved in that nonsense too muchNo coincidence that we’re better since Hamer’s back taking them
Peterborough United v Sheffield United, 11 February 2017
Was behind the goal when Billy Sharp scored an 87th minute header .. Jay O'Shea crossed it James Hanson headed it across the box and Sharp nodded it inthe timing was perfect and from that win I just had a feeling we were gonna be promoted
