Best Header

I'm still thinking about Bindon's TOWERING header from the weekend - bloody love a headed goal me.

Now I'm not saying its the best header we've ever scored, but bloody hell he got up high, and the flight path into the net was bloomin' satisfying too!

I have no doubt there are loads better, but what is your favourite header we've scored?

Diving headers will always be the best headers, Was it Bobby Davison or Whitehouse away v Pigs?

But also agree, Bindon got some proper height on his jump. It was almost a carbon copy of McGuinness v Stoke. We seem very good in the air at corners this season under Wilder

Remember Devlin scoring a diving header in a league game. Dont ask me when, dont ask me who but it was great because it was smashed across goal

Also seem to recall a bullet header from Alan Young from about the penalty spot, from a brilliant driven cross from out on the right. Just can’t recall the match or who crossed it.
I'll have to defer to the oracle that is Silent Blade to let me know if my recollection was fact or fiction.

Afraid I was playing football regularly during the 1982-83 season which was probably the fewest times I attended matches at the Lane since I started going regularly in 1970. I can only remember seeing Young score a hat trick in the FA Cup replay against Boston. I dont remember seeing much of Terry Curran too although I wasnt against signing him in the summer.

A long time ago now but as a kid I remember Derek Pace heading some belters.

I can only remember seeing Young score a hat trick in the FA Cup replay against Boston. I dont remember seeing much of Terry Curran too although I wasnt against signing him in the summer.

Gareth Taylor scored great headers and always won the ball in the air. Brian Deane and John Tudor were good at heading. Eddie Colquhoun was often at the right place and right time to head in Woody's corners, free kicks.
