Agreed. If this had to happen it should have happened in November when there was still time.

His track record in the FL is excellent.

This is all about Chris trying to keep the best players...watch the board flog em all now

I’ve seen it all before and it’s going to happen all over again I fear

We'll see. We could make a smart appointment, and keep hold of our best players. Of course, it could go the other way. I'm not confident.

Long and short of it is we’ve lit our best chance of bouncing back on fire.

there is no manager I would rather have, or think would do a better job.

this will set us back years. Not saying wilder hasn’t made his position. Difficult with constant sniping at the board but this is very bad long term imo

It sure is a precarious time no doubt. I just do not see an obvious appointment or one that could bring success without the need to overhaul the squad and spend big. Sorry to say it but the chances of an appointment that will bring success are less than the odds that it will end badly for the next manager.

Theres not many I wouldn’t be glad to see the back of after this season frankly

Are you assuming he’s been sacked rather than walked?
Walked or sacked it’s the boards position that have forced the issue IMHO. I am sure we will find out. I’ve already heard it’s about selling the best players
I’m sure Chris will tell it as it is

If he's been pushed, rather than want to go himself, it's a terrible decision. I think we've been terrible all season, for various reasons, but the very least Wilder deserved was to have another go with the fans and a full, fit squad back. It's now got the potential to be a re-run of the kneejerk Warnock sacking, which took over a decade to recover from.

His choice I believe. He could have stayed but he didn’t want to change. Great 4 years and we can debate whatever we want but it won’t change anything. Thanks for the memories Chris and they have been brilliant. This year however has been a complete mess and that can’t be ignored either.

If I had to choose I'd say he's walked, if nothing else CW has his pride and principles will Knill have gone also?

After this season there is no way we could just carry on as if everything was fine.

If Wilder wasn’t willing to be flexible with the board then it’s only right to have a change of management.

It's like I've been time warped back to the end of the Adkins season.

The last conversation I had was with a Barnsley fan, I was joking that we were looking at thier manager - his reply was..

"you get rid of him with what he's done with you lot, then you're fucking daft"

Waiting for Wilder to speak, and he will, the truth will be expected and I expect him not to pull any punches.

I think a multi million pound pay off will come before his pride and principles!

I said over a week ago he would leave and I said that the straw that broke the camels back was Lingard. The issue at the start of the season was not getting Davies in when there was no interest from anyone but the board wouldn’t sanction the move. Essentially along with the signings and someone to cover O’Connell we wouldn’t be in this shit.

We're done. Group will all go their separate ways. 10-15 games into next season we'll all be split about if the new manager should be sacked. Repeat year after year while slashing the wage bill until our aim is not being relegated to league 1.

He can sell every single player for me now. I no longer give a rats arse.

They played well above and beyond their limitations for 4 years for Chris. Nobody will get them playing like that ever again in their careers.

It was all about wages this board were not and are not prepared to pay Premier League wages that’s why all our main targets joined other clubs and we had to settle for second best...The Prince promised two loan players in the January transfer window then renegade on his promise

If we appoint Neil fucking Lennon I give up. If we appoint Howe, I have faith he left in similar circumstances as Wilder last season. Always liked him was touted to be the next England manager. But not fucking Lennon!!!!!!
