Who's the best chairperson SUFC have had ?

Brierley for me cause we had the best team then........

Are we talking football club or PLC chairman or both?

Anyway, if we're allowed PLC chairpeople (haven't they always been chairmen?)... I would say McCabe.

I'm too young to remember the politics under previous chairs.

A lot of Blades would say McCabe because of his investment, that doesn't wash wi me cause in % terms of wealth he's probably done the least.

I'm more than willing to admit that I have nothing to compare him to thanks to the burden of my mere youth. I do however know, that Sheffield United's name has improved in the football world over the past few years. Whether that's thanks to the relative successes seen under NW or the out-reaching facilitated by KM... I don't really know.
 
Having seen a few.... I'd personally say theres only one man...

Kevin McCabe.

Not just his investment (since when has his % wealth got anything to do with anything?), but his shrewd running of the club, approachability, honesty and forward thinking.

F10ppo and 'our terry'............. i rest my case yer honour.......................oh and lack of real investment in QUALITY players to keep the Blades in the Premiership.

I'll counter your F10ppo and terry, with an Adrian Heath :)

The investment is your opinion, we went down with some cheating and the width of a post/disallowed goal.

Mr McCabe has also appointed many successful people at our club adn acted to fix the wrongdoings by the ones you mentioned.

He admitted he made a mistake and has made steps to fix this.

Would you say Ronaldo's crap because he fell on his arse today whilst trying to retrieve the ball? or that he's good because he scored and has been immense all season?

Correct........... if just a tad too slow......serious piece of mis judgement, i suggest if two failures as big in his 'real business's' had been been appointed they would have moved on fast....... just my opinion like..............
 
While you're all here, perhaps you'd like to explain what exactly went off to cause the founding of BIFA and car park protests?

It's always more interesting hearing it from the fans than staid reports in the papers... I've read bits and pieces but must admit, business and politics weren't great loves of mine at the time.

/grabs the chocolate and settles down for story time.

Correct, but if your wanting to critisise their professionalism and related performances in public, I'd imagine it would be more constructive and well recieved to do so.

It also helps the foreign visitors of this site and those who aren't savvy with your pet names to actually read your opinions. :)

Perhaps........... but i wouldn't imagine there are many and yer know the old sayin............ yer can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time.

Perhaps they could google it if not sure ? or just ask ?

With all due respect... who is going to google f1opp0 to be greeted with a translation into Bryan Robson? and what the point in expressing your opinion if people (okay, not the majority) have to spend time googling to decode your posts? :)

It seems to do nothing but take away from your opinion/make people imagine you as childish (whether right or wrong) :)
 
To answer Linz I've always been wary of a "fans voice" like Bifa and the rest.

How can they really reflect the majority who are usually not as outspoken as even us on such forums.
