Best Blades League 1 XI

Caught the posting bug now! Thought I would see what opinions are on our best team using a combination of players we've had since being in this league. Here's mine:

Lowton Maguire Ebanks-Landell Harris

Williamson McDonald Coutts Phillips

Ched Sharp

Subs: Howard, Brayford, O'Connell, Doyle, Quinn, Cresswell, Blackman.

Thoughts? I realise midfield is lacking some bite, but just went for talent more than anything and when these said players were/are on the top of their game.

Oh, I totally agree with you. The fact he is playing in the Premier League now tells you everything.

I just think it's fairer to pick Murphy or Quinn who were contracted to the club and who have participated more.

I realise I'm being hypocritical by putting JOC and Moore in, but I'm assuming that they will contribute as they have been doing so far.

All much of a muchness. To be fair to Hill he wasn't as bad at CB, but I've got him at LB and he was atrocious in that position.

Don't like to put too many newbies in from this season as a few games might just prove to be a flash in the pan but goalkeepers and centre halves have been a problem over the last few seasons (or 2 seasons in the case of the centre halves). Put Lowton in just because he's too good not to get in and there have been no stand out left backs in our time in the third tier.

Hill was very consistent, he could always pick someone out in the stands. It's as if his mate in the stands was shouting for the ball and he found the fucker everytime.
