There are many good ones such as; 'Blades glory.. Owls down' - May 90, 'were off to Wembley' - March 14

There are many bad ones such as; Owls pip blades to promotion - May 12, 'Singin the blues' - Boxing day 79

What are your favourites and what are your worst??

Mine is from the game where we beat Villa 2-1 early in the new year, in the season where we didn't win until nearly Christmas, (90-91?) and then won about 8 in a row. A topless lady evaded the ever vigilant stewards and the Green 'Un photographer managed to get a picture of her and Deano with the ball at his feet, The caption was "Winning Streak".

Not a Blades headline but a Tony Agana headline when he played for Weymouth versus Forest Green Rovers back in the 80s

"Agana agony for Rovers"

;)

Not a Star or Green 'un headline - think it was the Daily Sport - but I've always liked "Blades Whack Woeful Wat-flop" after we won 4-0 in the run up to "Blades glory.. Owls down".

4-1 :-)

10th April 1990 (Agana, Booker, Deane, Whitehurst).

Was always happy with the numerous headlines which ended with "..............AS OWLS CRASH"

And if we'd won the slight deflation that came with ......."CITY SLICKERS".

Always remember in 2003 before one of our semi finals there was a centre page poster in the Sun with Kabba & Brown celebrating. It just said "The Blades, We Love Em"

I think it was the celebration from when Brown scored "that" volley

It wasn't a headline and I didn't see it but....Many years ago..The Green Un used to have a front page item which was in cartoon or characature form showing the progress of United and Wednesday games throughout the afternoon. United were playing Leeds and the referee did not give a dead cert penalty. A really big chap left the terraces, entered the pitch, picked the ball up in one hand, the referee under the other arm and sat the referee on the ball on the penalty spot. This was depicted on that cartoon section (or so family folklore had it).

The chap was my late Uncle and was bound over to keep the peace by a magistrate.
He was my United mentor and took me to my first First Division United game. A true Megablade!

The two I remember most from the Green 'Un...

"KING EDWARDS" and the never to be forgotten one just before the yuletide season after Mel had a great game...

"CHRISTMAS EVES"
