I was told he had a fitness test on the pitch today. Didn't see it myself as not in early enough.

We now have a lot of strength in depth for our midfield and defence. Some players will be disappointed from week to week. Luke Freeman couldn't even get onto the bench 2 weeks ago, and that will be the case for a few others over the course of the season. Besic has been terrific recently, but Lunny hasn't exactly been poor either, just a bit off the pace.

Chris probably wanted to showcase Berge today, so to accommodate this someone had to miss out. By being dropped straight into it, Berge has already felt the difference in pace from the game he is used to in Belgium. The added advantage today is that it made a point to Lunny; get your contract signed now if you want to be part of this, because if you don't, I have just signed a guy who will be.
