Bert is not in "an unfortunate position".
He will infact be better off by not buying the season tickets and just going to the same number of games as he went to last season, he may even go to less games due to his new habit of going on holiday. It wasn't worth his while buying the tickets last season and it won't be worth it this season, none the less he was prepared to support the club by paying his eleven hundred quid but £1,252 is a bridge too far.
nb Bert has no wish to sit on the Kop amongst the tattooed, beer drinking Pukka Pie munchers.
Darren is somewhat puzzled by the fact that a man of Bert's apparent wealth (see Trigger's post below) is willing to pay £1100 for season tickets he doesn't need in order to "support the club", yet is not willing to pay an extra £152 for the same tickets in order to support the club.
