Seems I’m out on a limb here, but I just don’t get him. The midfield has never performed since his arrival.

For me, he’s definitely part of the financial trimming needed to compete in the championship.

I’m fairly sure football amortisation is based on historic cost of contract and not present value. Amortisation will not impact revenue but it’s a cost to the P&L so will affect profitability (and therefore P&S/FFP in the longer term). Deferred payments impact cashflows, not the P&L, it’s the amortisation that hits the P&L, the payments are just cash going out of the business.

Sorry to be pedantic but amortisation isn’t depreciation either, depreciation is applied to tangible assets and amortisation for intangibles.

Seems with that statement we've fucked it, oh well roll on Port Vale and Colchester again then.
 
I think he has great potential but not sure he is what we need as DMF. He reminds me of the great TC when he is on the ball. Skillful and can't knocked off it as he is strong and a big unit. Deceptively fast. Doesn't have TC's passing range (yet) but think we should use him more to run at defenders with ball at feet. As he gets older and more experienced I can see him terrifying defenders. Really hope he stays.

As I’ve posted on an earlier thread , he can only be compared to TC in the same way that Barry Bannon can be compared to Jimmy Hagan .

Other option is the throw caution to the wind, keep them all, sign a few more and hope we smash the league. Then it won’t matter until we’re relegated again.
 
We keep this lad. No question. He’d be laughably the best midfielder in the league. Good luck to teams stopping his rampaging elephant impressions.

The midfield was toss when we beat Chelsea and spurs with him being out stand out player

He looks a great player, but I'm not what he net gains he adds to our midfield. Sure, he probably won'y lose possession as much as Norwood, but he's going to have to work on his vision to make us a better attacking force.

He may look different in a team that has a lot more ball. Unfortunately, he'll be a luxury we can't afford in the Championship, so we'll never know.

A fully fit Sander Berge is far too good for the Championship and having him in the team gives us a stronger shot at promotion.

Not wanting to take anything for granted, but wouldn't we have more of the ball in the Championship (if we ever ended up back there)?

Oh yes, that was my point, sorry. But I don't think we could afford to keep him then, financially.

None of us have really have we, it's just opinion. But it's clear that something big has to give if you drop from the premier league to the championship.

Where people will agree is that then you should get rid of your lowest value for money players.

Where most will seemingly disagree with me , is that that would put Berge at the top of the list.
