I like Berge as a geezer , it's just not happening for him unfortunately. I'd love him to rip it up 2nd half of the season. Obviously it would benefit us in more ways than 1 .

I think he'd be even better at that if we made the pitch wider. In fact I think our pitch doesn't help him at all. It's not wide or long enough for his game

Great game today. He's an attacking midfielder and he revels in that position. This is where he needs to be played, not picking the ball up straight from the defenders. When he's on the ball driving forward, it looks like a dad playing with his kids in the park. Players just bounce off him.

The front 3 today were sublime to a man. If we had to criticise them we'd have to take aim at MGWs finishing & decision making with the backheel...but he scored 2 and assisted 1!

Yes, that was far, far better and a little more in keeping with the hyberbole his fan club comes out with regardless of how he plays.

I sincerely hope if keeps it going, though it's hard to say because all our players looked PL quality today as Swansea were completely inept, in addition to being spineless. When any of them except the left back were challenged they went over like Bob ( ("I've fallen over Vic") Mortimer.

However, if that is the level, then he should keep his position.

Brilliant. From the first moment of the game, you could see the intent was there - Push Berge on and allow him to play forward. Have to play him in, what it obviously, his preferred role. So good to watch him in full flow.

I will never understand those who see him as a deeper player.

I think he's always going to frustrate some as he glides past players making it look so easy for him at times but he's our classiest player by miles.
