I would have asked Berge to take it. but at 2-0 it would have also been a good chance to get one of your strikers up and running. Though to be fair Brewster also missed his last one.Better penalty taker, scored every one he's taken for us....
2 goals in 2 games to start the season to up that price tag.....
But nah..... small thinking prevails and we stick with good old Norwood, who including shootouts has missed about half the pens he's taken for us
And if not Berge it should have been Ndiaye or Brewster
Yep, exactly. Would've been perfect wouldn't itAt 2-0 it would have also been a good chance to get one of your strikers up and running. Though to be fair Brewster also missed his last one.
It seems all a bit David Beckham against Argentina or Stuart Pearce against Spain. More about the individual trying to redeem his demons rather than actually what was best for the team.Yep, exactly. Would've been perfect wouldn't it
Was spitting feathers seeing Norwood pick the ball up
He's become averse to goalscoring so obviously he'll try to miss his pens....
He scored a few goals for Fulham years ago. So what. His pens have never been anything special and his free kicks have been absolutely wank ever since - its embarrassing how few he's scored for us in all he's taken (is it just one?)
Can't head a ball and is nesh in tackle so can he really do it all![]()
His midfield partners were the same today
For a big unit of a lad he is so nesh.
Needs to get some more fight in him.
I think that you will find those who are truly worthy of the ‘Rollls Royce’ accolade, do exactly that.
Put his head in at least twice yesterday to clear the box, while surrounded by oppo players. I was half watching for it, to see if he's improved this area of his game. Early days in the season, but it looks to me like he's more prepared to put him body on the line. Can't head a ball and is nesh in tackle so can he really do it all![]()
Still see people saying he should play deeper . I just don't understand why these people are seeing. He isn't aggressive enough to do that but he's fantastic when in space and able to carry the ball.
?it's exciting to think if McAtees pace compliments Berge s relentless fluid style
how we will take apart teams
Ndayes pace and. Webster fully back in the groove after injury augers eell
Berge's position changed a bit with how the play was yesterday. He was advanced when we had the ball and also when we pressed them high up. But when Millwall built longer lasting attacks and we were pushed back, he dropped down to RCM alongside Norwood and Fleck to help them out.I want Berge to stay where he is but I also want him moved back into CM....
Our alternatives further forward are still excellent. Our options in CM are not
Best bet for me is to play him RCM in a 2 without expecting him to be the base player, that should be Doyle. Baldock at the side of him might be the best option too, to best cover his forward runs
brewster. Webster. I'm getting old
Sigh…. If you need me to name footballers who have / had the ability and attitude to get hold of a game when things aren’t going their way for you, then clearly you haven’t been watching the game for very long.Go on then name me one ?

With the likes of Khadra, McAtee and Ndiaye being able to play in attacking midfield, I think Berge will be asked to play deeper again at some point. We'll just have to assess what works best for us.

Berge is a very good footballer and will go on to have an excellent career at a level above us.
But what he doesn’t do - and hasn’t done in his time with us - is that.
The rumoured 3 PL clubs who have shown an interest in Berge will have had their scouts there today. Expect some increased bids for him
Let’s hope the board decide PL footy for our club takes precedence over swelling the bank balance for this season
I would imagine that more often than not, he doesn’t go missing though. There have been games when kevin de bruyne has “gone missing “ such as the champions league final
Is he a bad player and not top class no definitely not
Would happily take no more signings if we kept these 2We need to go all out to keep Berge and Ndiaye.
We would be selling him to balance the books, not to swell our bank balance. The rumoured 3 PL clubs who have shown an interest in Berge will have had their scouts there today. Expect some increased bids for him

Is it just me or should +20M player have more levels than Rolls Royce - shite? And should player that expensive be more the Rolls Royce in Championship level? We all know the score - when he has a good game he's a Rolls Royce, irreplaceable, and we must build a team around him.
When he has a quiet one he's shite, doesn't wanna be here, sell him to the highest bidder!
Just look on the SANDER BERGE ON WAY OUT thread in the Rumour Mill section for confirmation!
