CONFIRMED Ben Woodburn - Season Long Loan

What they don’t want to hear is that Klopp andnthebplayer chose United for footballing reasons.
Ie...we play a similar way, have a similar work ethic and play attacking football. Not like Bruce’s shit
 



Think Brooksy might have tipped the balance in our favour with Woodburn. Both play for Wales and probably both represented Cheshire schools together.

They must have spoken, or texted each other, whatever. I’d guess Brooksy said we were a good club with a good team spirit, good lads and a good manager and he really enjoyed playing for us.

Woodburn isn’t or never will be our player for the £12m Brooks has gone for.

Nor is he better than Brooks imho, even though he’s a great player.

If Woodburn was better he’d be playing games for a Premier league club next season like Brooks will be.

Wilder is still brilliant though. :)

It's a lot harder to get in Liverpool's first team than Bournemouth's.

And I don't think Brooks will feature much for Bournemouth.

All I’d say to that is if Woodburn was playing for Bournemouth, and not Liverpool maybe he’d be playing games for a Premiere league club next season and Brooks is 3 years older. Hard to call who will end up the best though, two very talented players but not peas in a pod by any means, I’ve been impressed with this kid the few times I’ve seen him play for his country at various levels.

I 100% agreed with you... up until reading the "JOC Outgoing thread" 10min ago.
If that happens I'd say we go back to being weaker than last season again.
 
We can't really say whether or not Woodburn is better than Brooks simply because he hasn't played enough proper football. He does seem to be potentially better, but potentially James Wilson was good.

What was Brooks doing at 18?

Woodburn will be a better player than Brooks long term and I think he will be as good if not better for us next season than Brooks was last season.

Any lower league Prem team could take Woodburn, the fact none of them are even interested tells it’s own story regards who out of him and Brooks are currently the best.

This is one of those Blades signings where we downplay Brooks talents and make the player coming into replace him, only on loan by the way, out to be better than a player who has just left our club for £12m. It happens quite a lot on here.

As for Woodburn, I’d love him here but let’s not paint him out to be better than what he is, we only have him on loan and if he proves to be a good signing which I think he will then we won’t see him again next year, we’ll have to plan again.

This is a quick fix for the talented lad we let go. I’m not very keen on this sort of signing but If he helps us to promotion maybe I’ll see things differently?

Any prem club could loan him and that’s my argument regards the two of them.

Listen, I’m not saying Woodburn is crap because I really rate him but how can anyone at this current time say that he’s better than Brooks? The evidence says otherwise.

We’re talking about now though, look back at the initial post from nuddy and my response to it, whether he could prove to be better in a few years time is another question. He possibly could?

Not interested in downplaying what Brooks brought to our team and I was disappointed to lose him. But the word from Liverpool is that Woodburn looks to be knocking on the door of their first team squad and Klopp sees him as playing a role for them within 18 months. To me that sounds like he’s better than Brooks.
