Probably inevitable once two central midfielders were signed.
Good luck at Donny Ben.

The question is not so much as what position but more importantly what division we’d have been in had Madkins stayed.![]()
Unlucky for Whiteman, he's definitely made it in the league we occupied for 6 seasons but Wilder's arrival has just made the club 'outgrow' him. I have no doubt he'll eventually get to The Championship he's just not doing it quickly enough which very few players do and we need the players 'here and now'. If we were skint again he'd have a better chance of being used. I see the reason for the transfer (apparently forced by United) being to free up a few quid in wages and a fee but more importantly not subsidising other clubs whilst allowing the players contract to run down. We've got it spot on with this one but I still feel disappointed we haven't got another academy product into our squad.
I would reckon we were covering ourselves just in case. But now - with two more midfielders and the rise of Regan Slater - Ben was clearly needing first team football which he wouldn't get at Bramall Lane. Good management for the lad's career.
Getting a good grounding at Chesterfield he’ll come back and establish himself in CWs plansWonder where little Louis Reed stands now ? I can't see him being ahead of Whiteman in the pecking order.
Agree, I bet the sale price is surprisingly low. Donny are skint and can’t afford much.
But I expect there'll be some clauses in our favour.
Like a large 25% sell on and maybe a buy back at a cheap rate clause (with conditions).
Can't help but think this is gonna come back to bite us . Would of let him finish his loan and re evaluate in the summer with a full season of L1 behind him. Probably only be worth more.
GLTTL.
Hopefully we have a sell on?
Yes, I would of.'would have'
Yes, I would of.
I think so, sure wilder mentioned one being in place when he was sold.Any sell-on?

Yes. A pretty decent one I believe.
Would explain the turning down of the bid, if we are getting a chunk then they are likely to want a lot more for him.
