Always rated pringle, but can't see this one happening. As far as I can tell he's still got a year on his Fulham deal so a fee would be required and Fulham have a reputation for being extremely "generous" with wages so perhaps another player who's wages wouldn't fit with the new wage structure that George Long fell foul to.

Added to the fact that I expect the majority of our signings will be from this division and the one below, seems unlikely.

It could be possible that he wants a move back up North though, spent a few years here playing for Rotherham and is from the North East. He may also miss the Evans type, no nonsense style of management. Wilder certainly doesn't mess about and may appeal to the inner workaholic.

As you say however, in the end I think it will come down to cash and I doubt that we will
a) pay Fulham the asking price or b) match wage demands.

Yes, what a fantastic rumour. One of the best we've had for years. Now this is just the sort of player we need to be rumoured to be interested in.

The quality of our rumoured targets has been shamefully poor for years. This is much better, but it's only a start. We need to be consistently rumoured to be interested in better quality players.

I suspect it's largely down to having "one of our own" as manager.
