Being mascot?

So the blades are playing against my local team Bristol Rovers in Feb and my young un wants to be mascot. Trouble is he is currently saying he wants to be Rovers mascot as its the team more of his mates support. Obviously I would rather he was blades mascot, but regardless, assuming he chooses blades, does anyone have any experience of what being blades mascot involves and how much it costs? I take it he would get a full kit (wanker) and meet the players?

Our lad was one for his birthday in march, il remember the game at some point. It's about £250 at the lane, get a full tour, meet the players in the dressing room and the manager, also gets a full kit and a kick about with the players before the kick off, they also get a ticket for mum or dad to the game and photos in a photobook of the whole day and a signed football.
Thinks that's it.
He loved it, but you need to book well in advance for utd usually!
 
Oh, free programme with a picture and abit abit him in it too!
 
Free for away games and that game was still available.
Your son wil get to meet all players in dressing room and some photos of the day.
 
How can you put a price on your son being a Blade!!!!!???????
What if you had to take him to south Barnsley and wade in pig shit for more!!!!!!!!

Our family clubbed together for grandson to be mascot a couple of years ago. He is now 12, lives in another city and supports a club there, but Utd are still his number 2 club, and he told me the other day that being mascot was the best day of his life. I accompanied him (someone has to!), and it made my day too. He is still proud of accompanying Jamie Murphy on to the pitch (one of a number of excellent photos they sent in an album). It is expensive, but with kit, signed ball, photos, tour, time with players in dressing-room, etc., I felt it was well worth it. All the staff, players, etc., were very approachable. And dare I say on this forum that Collins was one of the best?
 
After umpteen calls and various transfers I've spoken to no one who can help me and hit a load of answer phones. Hey ho I will keep trying.

I've since got hold of someone who is going to arrange for someone to call me back. Thanks for the info tho. I have a feeling I have rung at a bad time as half the staff seem to be off.

I'll be there .. Easy trip for me. Will give you a cheer ... Going with my wife's sister who supports Bristol Rovers and lives next door to the ground. It's on Valentine's Day, which has not gone down especially well with my wife.

Ignoring the 1st word (sorry, can't help myself:mad:), it was a great day for No.1 Grandson when he was mascot although that was 12 years ago. It is no doubt expensive, back then you got a tour of the 'museum', the ground, dressing room, signed football, a photo with each player and one, maybe two tickets for the game. I know Warnock eventually put a stop to the dressing room visit with the players so I don't know if that has been re-introduced since, I guess so as that's probably the highlight other than leading the team out.

Seem to remember seeing a photo of a young Billy Sharp as a mascot, could be wrong...

Serenade her with the GCB song, get a few cans of ale in she'll be like putty in your hands.
