If someone had offered you 1 point from Everton away and Liverpool at home, you'd have taken it right? Now we've got 3, so next weekend really is a free hit. But if Norwich can beat City, can we scare the Gerrard-loving scouse wankers? I think we can.

Let's go at them, not fuck about aiming for a point, and see what happens. You never know.

Today wasn’t a surprise. The way we set up and prepared is nothing short of excellent and it’s just becoming a bit of a norm that our game plan comes together.

Another clean sheet too.

Next week will be different. If we go at Liverpool like Norwich did on the opening game we will leave ourselves very open at the back.

Similarly if we play like today the fans might get a little more nervy.

I expect we’ll have a few surprises as usual. So I’m going to say Ravel will start...

We need to treat it like it’s an away game - backs to the wall and try to catch them on the break!

It is definitely a free hit now, we can go into the match not looking over our shoulders and worried about points, play with some 'cautious' freedom.

Seems strange to be looking past this one, but Watford away is a huge match early in the season and bigger than Liverpool.

If someone had offered me 3 from Southampton at home and Everton away I'd have taken it.

So we aren't ahead of anything...

Fair point. Last weekend was disappointing, but we got screwed over by a combination of VAR and a bent ref. I choose to forget that, and look to the future.

Edit...OK, so 3 points from Southampton home, then Everton away and Liverpool at home. Would you have been unhappy with that?

If people have been worried about what happens to us when we are pressed just wait and see the super human athletes in Liverpool's team especially their midfield if we want to get anything out of this match we are going to have to change how we approach it.

Agree 100%, but I expect HRH the lord sir Chris Wilder has done his homework on them. We will probably lose...most sides will lose to them this season...but if we come out of it having lost "only" 2-1 (for example) I won't have too many complaints. Them and City are a league above everyone else on their day. Results against them and City won't define our season...results like today, a superb win (with a clean sheet) against the "best of the rest" will.

Probably not in all honesty.

Love the optimism but Liverpool are a completely different beast now. Give em some clog and get the crowd revved up and you never know. Early ko atmospheres are usually poor though!

yes because they only won 2 european cups during that period and had shit players like barnes gerrard and owen

Didnt say they were crap, just think the current European champions are streets ahead of the past ones.

I’ve already had Everton fans saying we were lucky because they were so poor😡. Liverpool fans have said we don’t stand a chance next week🤔🤔.
Just the usual self entitled crap that you get from scousers.
Outstanding result😀⚔⚔⚔⚔⚔

You should tell them that’s Bournmouth, Palace and Chelsea were all incredibly poor against us, their fans saying it’s their worse performance in months.
Tell them that according to Leicester and Southampton fans they were also under par against us.

See the pattern?
It was obvious that Everton would also be really poor against us
And I’m predicting now that Liverpool will have an off day next week.

It’s clear that opposition PL fans still don’t realise just how good we are.
Wouldn’t surprise me if we hover around mid table all season. The standard in the PL is good but still seems over rated.

We all know Liverpool are a very good team but please they are NOT super human, they are not Greek gods chiselled out of granite. We will have to be on the very top of our game if we lose we lose, anything else is a bonus, please stop treating them as though they are gods. If we lose it's expected, if we win obvious L'pool had an off day they all seem to playing us.

Never kn we could lose 8-0 🤣

a) United won't lose 8-0 to anyone this season
b) Liverpool are not ruthless enough to put anyone to the sword in this manner

I think some of the whining twats on this forum are willing us to lose a few so they can whine even more annoyingly "I told you so, I told you so". They're not even pig infiltrators either, they're some of our lot believe it or not which makes it even more unpalatable.

really , they seem to still have the same good cup side , come up a bit short league wise
had it in their hands last january 5 point lead and lost it , so still flawed

Same shit, different week. We're used to it by now. Whenever we don't lose, it's because the opposition (whoever they are) had "their worst game for years."
